"What's up?" I glanced behind me, feeling North lurking in the doorway.
Skye was asleep now, breathing softly.
"Is she... alright?" he said.
"She's fine," I replied, continuing to stroke her stomach.
He remained there, silent.
"You know, it's one thing where you can feel her just as much as I can, it's another for you to stalk us while we sleep because of it." I smiled a little. "It's a touch more creepy."
He just sighed. "She's just... so warm."
"Then go lay in bed and cuddle with a body pillow. It would insinuate a girlfriend."
He gave me a look. "That's heartless."
"Just..." I sighed, "leave her alone for a little while. She's uneasy around you. As you can expect."
He then stepped further in the room, leaning over me to see her face. "Is she asleep?"
"Do you know boundaries?" I countered.
"Fine, fine." He threw his hands up as I glared at him. "I'm going." He stepped back to the door, stopping at the exit. "Good night, Sebastian."
"Night," I said.
And he left, closing the door behind him.
Skye shifted a little at the noise, moaning in annoyance.
"Shhh..." I curled around her, continuing to stroke her stomach, "stay asleep, baby."
