WHAT do you like about me? ❞ Her brown eyes looked into mine with the deepest sincerity as she lay her head on my lap. "I mean, there's gotta be something about me that you really like, right?"

The evening breeze cooled the warmth that spread throughout my body. I felt like a blazing wildfire with the weight of her body on top of me, the way her eyes looked lovingly into mine, and the scent of her perfume infiltrating my lungs. This moment felt like a dizzy daydream. The type you'd hate to wake up from. But the longer I looked at her, I knew it was real.

The corners of my lips turned upward. "It's endless," I answered briefly. "My reasons are endless. It's not just something," I added. "I think that your being is enough of a reason to like you."

"Really?," She frowned. "I didn't realise that anyone could like me like that. And you mean it?"

I leaned over and pressed a soft kiss on her lips. "Every word." I assured. "There's so much more to you than you realise. I mean anyone could like you. You're kind. Selfless. You make the world a better place. Those are just three reasons, Mason. That's not even half of it. Anyone can like you, but not everyone can have you. You're mine."

She raised a hand and cupped my cheek gently. "I can't believe those words came out of your mouth," Mason chuckled. "But you're right," she added, "I'm utterly and completely yours, Jace."

My heart fluttered against my chest and beat twice as fast. "Gosh, you really know how to make a girl's heart flutter. I might fall further..."

Mason traced my bottom lip with her thumb and looked up at me with a dizzying gaze. Keep looking at me like that and I'd lose my composure.

"Would you?," she wondered. "Fall further."

My breath hitched. "I'd fall in as deep as you'd let me," I confessed. "I'd drown in you. Let you consume me. You're everything I could ever want, Mason. I have to have you. Only you. I love you."

Her lips curved upward. "You already have me," she breathed. "Every part of me belongs to you. Especially this," she pointed towards the middle of her chest, where her heart lies. "It's yours."

I cupped her face and spoke softly. "You're giving me your heart?" I asked, almost in disbelief.

Mason pulled me by the hem of my clothes and closed the small distance between us as she pressed her lips roughly against mine, smiling between our kiss and sighing. "I can't give you what's always been yours, Jace. You've had my heart forever. Sometimes I think it beats just for you. To love you, to be with you, to be loved by you," she smiled again. "I beat for you, MJ."

My heart thrummed for what seemed like the millionth time in one evening. "I can't believe you," I chuckled softly. "You make me feel funny."

"Funny?"

"Yeah," I answered. "You make me feel all sorts of things. The kind that no one else can. So, funny in that sense," I chuckled. "No one comes close to you. No matter how hard they try. I won't budge."

"Neither," she replied. "No one else comes close. And no matter how hard they try, this little heart of mine belongs to you and only you." She added.

"Gosh." I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. "How on earth did we get here?," I chuckled. Mason looked as beautiful as the night sky. "I feel like I'm in a dream I'll wake up from but," I shook my head. "It's never been so real. This is real."

"It's real," she reiterated. You don't have to worry about this being a dream you'll wake up from."Mason assured. "Because I'm here. With you. And if I have to tell you time and time again, I will. But this is real. You're mine. I'm yours. We're finally here. Where we both dreamed of being."

"It's real," I repeated. "You're right. I just can't believe that we're here," I confessed. "I never thought I'd be able to tell you everything I've kept pent up in here," I pointed to my heart and sighed. "It's been so scary trying to hold in all in."

Mason sat up slowly and shook her head. "You don't need to keep anything pent up anymore." Mason cupped my face and nodded, "Ok? There's nothing you have to worry about. Let it all out. You have every part of me, MJ. To hear you. To see you. To love you. Every part of me is for you."

I leaned forward and brushed my lips against her own, taking in the sweet scent of her fragrance before kissing her softly. "And every part of me belongs to you. Only God knows how much I've wanted you. How much I truly love you. I don't think there's anything else I could ever want."

Her cheeks flushed against my own. "Aren't you quite the sweet talker," she giggled. "I didn't realise you had it in you, Jace. What else are you hiding from me, hm? You're terribly down bad."

I left soft kisses against her jaw and smiled, "I'd say you're just as terribly down bad as I am," I replied, feeling her warmth against my skin. "Besides, you're as red as a tomato right now."

Mason held her hands in front of her face and laughed, "Shh. I'm gonna go all red in the face..."

I held my arms out and pulled her close, "You're already red in the face," I laughed. "But that just makes you my silly little tomato frog." I grinned.

"Tomato frog?"

"Yeah."

"You're so weird, MJ."

"Yet you love me."

"I do love you," Mason smiled widely. "So you better keep kissing me, Mara Jace."

"And what if I don't?"

Mason shrugged. "Just kiss me."

"First day on the job and you're already begging me to kiss you," I grinned. "I like this set up."

"You're so annoying," she rolled her eyes. "First day on the job and my lips are already swollen."

I hid my face behind my hands and laughed. "Guilty. Not my fault you're so kissable..."

"You're such a loser..."

I pressed a kiss on her lips and smiled. "Mm. And you just happen to be the girl of my dreams."
