Transported: A Wings of Fire story

Heart Wrenched

Blue found himself in the middle of the familiar open fields of Pantala. Soon after passing through the magic portal, he was faced with the rest of the group, most of which were looking around in awe at where they were. Except for Penguin and of course, the dragons who were born on the continent. 

"Wow... When you guys said you had no trees... I didn't think you actually meant it..." Ostrich said as she looked out into the empty savannah. "There's NONE"  
She turned to look at Sundew who was staring at one of the Hives with a sort of anger. 

Sundew sighed deeply as she continued looking at the towering structure. 
"I know it wasn't their fault... It was Wasp... But even so... I can't forgive them for what they did..." 

Ostrich raised a brow at Blue, wanting an answer.
"What's she on about?" 

"It was the Hivewings who killed all the trees" Cricket explained as she adjusted her glasses which had moved when she went through the portal. 
"Hence why most of the Dragons here, including Sundew, Luna and Swordtail, hate Hivewings"

Ostrich shot Cricket an odd glance. "But aren't you a Hivewing...?"
She looked at the rest of the Pantalan dragons with a mix of a confused and sympathetic expression.
"You're her friends... Aren't you..? You don't hate her just because of something that her tribe did... Right?"

Ostrich looked behind her.
The rest of the group was oblivious to the conversation going on between Ostrich and the Pantalan dragons which in all honesty was a good thing.

Ostrich looked back at everyone else, expecting an answer, but to her surprise nobody spoke, instead they all looked at one another with confusion, expecting someone else to answer for them. 

Cricket noticed this and looked down at the ground with a somewhat upset expression but tried to keep it hidden. 
"So uh... Yeah..." She said, giving Ostrich what she thought was a neutral look, but was actually more of a betrayed one. 
I-I'm going to catch up with the others for a moment... I'll see you all later" Cricket said quickly before eventually dismissing herself from the group. 

Ostrich was left somewhat speechless as she looked at Blue who shared the same face as her. However, his face soon changed to one of anger as he looked at the other three Pantalan dragons.
"What was that for!?" Blue semi-shouted with an angry tone which caught everyone's attention. 

Luna looked at him, confused by his sudden outburst. 
"What do you mean? What did we do? We didn't say anything-" She tried but was cut off.

"Exactly!" Blue cried out. "You said NOTHING! Nothing AT ALL!" He was basically shouting at them at this point, it was surprising that the others outside of the conversation didn't hear him. 

Sundew's eyes went wide and so did Lunas who had never seen Blue actually get angry. 
"Woah... Blue... Are you alright..?" Luna asked worryingly. 

Blue glared at her, something which was very out of the ordinary. 
"Am I alright..?" He repeated with an angered laugh. "Why are you asking me?! What about Cricket?! You should be apologising to her for what you did!"

Sundew raised a brow. "Blue what are you talking about?" She asked a genuine question but Blue wasn't having it. 

"Forget it!" Blue shouted before toning down his voice a bit. "I can't believe she risked her own life for the stupid mission and you can't even consider her a friend!" He sighed deeply.
I'm going to see if Cricket's alright..." 
And with that, he gave them all a somewhat angered and disgusted look before making his leave. 

Ostrich turned to the others, puzzled and somewhat surprised just after she watched Blue walk past her.

Swordtail was the first to break the silence after Blue's leave.
"What... What happened to him..? I've never seen him so mad... Actually... I don't think I've EVER seen him mad..."
