SELENE ALWAYS TRIED to tell herself that she wasn't afraid of death. She always repeated it like a mantra in her head — death will come for her, eventually. Just like it comes for everyone else.
However — actually knowing when that dreaded day comes? Actually being able to physically count down the minutes until some deranged Earth goddess corrupts your body and tries to take over the world?
Yeah. Let's just say it's a pretty stressful thing to think about.
On top of that — she's been thinking about Percy. Now that the prophecy is officially in full-swing, she has been more worried about him than ever before. Especially with that last line...a hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap...like — Fates? Apollo? Whoever made this prophecy — ? What the fuck does that mean?! What does any of this mean?!
It's safe to say that — due to all of the burdens thrown upon her shoulders — she hasn't been herself. Now more than ever before. She's only fifteen — she has to juggle Gaea, Kronos...and the fact that she had a crush on Percy —which was probably the biggest worry of them all.
So she's now forced to come to terms with the fact that — she, along with her friends — are responsible for stopping ancient Titans and other...creatures that could wipe out the entire human race with a flick of a wrist.
But hey — glory, am I right?

god i almost feel bad for what i have planned for this book...im sorry in advance (and no, i can't pay for 165,000 of you and ur therapy bills, so — start working !!)
let me just say here that this will probably be — uhm, the saddest book i have rewritten out of the three. im also putting this here as an additional warning — this era will contain themes of strong gore, torture, and well — very descriptive things in general. i will also put an extra warning on chapters that contain really heavy stuff so if you want — skip out on that, i understand if you may be uncomfortable.
