"I don't wanna get up," Azure mumbled, burying her head in the crook of Katie's neck, the warmth of the older woman's skin doing very little to encourage Azure to leave the comfort of their bed. She let out a contented sigh, her arms tightening around Katie's waist as she snuggled closer, her body molded to Katie's in a perfect fit.

Katie chuckled softly at Azure's reluctance to leave the warmth of their bed, her heart swelling with affection for the younger woman as she felt her snuggling closer. She pressed a gentle kiss to Azure's forehead, her lips lingering against her skin for a moment as she savored the intimate moment between them.

"Come on, lazy bones," Katie chuckled. "We've got stuff to do don't we now?"

Azure let out a playful groan at Katie's reminder, her reluctance to face the day evident in the way she clung to Katie's embrace. "I know, I know," she replied with a dramatic sigh, her voice muffled against Katie's neck. "It sucks."

"Come on, it doesn't suck," Katie argued, "we're gonna have fun, yeah? You're gonna show me New York, and we gonna go shopping, and, I don't know, have fun together." She tried to convince.

Katie was kind of excited at the prospect of visiting New York. She knew Azure loved the city. Or that she used to love it, at least.

"I don't even like shopping," Azure said, lifting her head to look at Katie. "I get frustrated and I get angry, and I hate it."

Katie couldn't help but laugh at Azure's confession, her eyes twinkling with amusement as she brushed a stray strand of hair away from the younger woman's face. "Come on, now. It won't be that bad. At least we're gonna be together yeah?"

Azure rolled her eyes at Katie's determination, but there was a hint of amusement in her gaze as she met Katie's playful grin. "Alright, sure." She mumbled, sitting up, and running her hand through the tangled mess of her hair.

Katie smirked softly, propping herself up on her elbows she watched Azure reluctantly start to untangle herself from the sheets.

"You're beautiful," Katie whispered. "I ever told you that?"

Azure raised an eyebrow at Katie's unexpected compliment, a soft blush spreading across her cheeks at the sincerity in her words.

"Shut up," she mumbled, playfully throwing a pillow at her face before getting up, a playful grin tugging at the corners of her lips. Despite her attempt at nonchalance, there was a warmth in Azure's eyes that betrayed her true feelings, a sense of gratitude and affection for the woman who never failed to make her feel loved and appreciated.

Katie caught the pillow with ease, laughing softly as she watched Azure get up from the bed, her eyes following the woman's every move as she walked to her dressing, her long tan legs stretching gracefully with each step.

As Azure rummaged through her wardrobe, Katie couldn't help but admire the way the morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over Azure's silhouette. There was a sense of serenity in the air, a quiet intimacy that filled the room as they prepared to face the day together.

"You never told me what your tattoos meant," Katie commented, observing the inked skin of the taller girl.

"You never asked." Azure shrugged, grabbing a fresh outfit from the closet. "You wanna take a shower now or later?"

Katie nodded, her curiosity piqued by Azure's casual response. "Now's good," she replied, swinging her legs out of bed and stretching her arms above her head with a satisfied sigh.

Azure nodded at Katie's answer. "Alright. I'll get dressed and go see if anyone's home."

With a nod, Katie disappeared into the bathroom, not bothering to lock the door behind her.
