Azure sighed heavily as she flopped onto her bed, the weight of boredom pressing down on her. She stared up at the ceiling, feeling the minutes stretch out endlessly before her, each passing second dragging on like an eternity.

"Stop being dramatic. I can hear you from here. I'm almost done." Katie laughed, from the bathroom, her voice slightly muffled by the closed door.

Azure let out an exaggerated groan at Katie's teasing, rolling over onto her stomach as she buried her face into the pillows, her voice muffled by the soft fabric.

"You're taking forever," she complained. "My mom's gonna kill us if we're late."

"We won't be late." Katie said, finally emerging from the bathroom.

Azure propped herself up on her elbows at the sound of Katie's voice.

"Holy shit." She mumbled, her jaw dropping at the sight of Katie.

The Irish was wearing a tight strapless red dress. Very, very tight.

In fact, Azure could without a problem discern the contours of the smaller woman's abs, and the dress accentuated every curve of her body. Azure couldn't help but stare, her eyes widening in disbelief at the sight before her.

The red she had chosen complimented her tan skin unbelievably well, and the way the dress hugged her figure left Azure breathless. She had never seen Katie dressed up like this before, and she couldn't tear her gaze away from the stunning sight in front of her.

She already looked extremely sexy and beautiful in football clothes, or in normal clothes. This was something else.

Katie smirked at Azure's reaction, watching the taller woman scramble up and walk to her. "Worth the wait?"

Azure blinked, momentarily speechless as she approached Katie, her eyes still wide with surprise at the sight before her. She reached out tentatively, her fingers grazing Katie's untied hair as she shook her head in disbelief.

"Fuck yeah, worth the wait." Azure breathed out, her voice barely above a whisper as she finally found her words, her gaze locked on Katie's captivating figure. "You... You look incredible, Katie. Like, seriously stunning."

Katie's smirk widened into a full-blown grin at Azure's reaction, a blush creeping up her cheeks at the genuine compliment. She couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence at Azure's words, her heart fluttering with excitement at the taller woman's reaction.

"Thanks, Aze," Katie replied, her voice tinged with gratitude as she met Azure's gaze with a warm smile. "You're not looking too bad yourself, you know."

Azure chuckled softly at Katie's response, her cheeks flushing with a hint of embarrassment at the unexpected compliment. She glanced down at her own outfit, a simple black suit. She had decided not to wear any tie or bow tie, and instead, let a few of the top buttons of her white shirt open, letting a hint of her tattoos and the golden cross around her neck peek through. Her mother was gonna hate it, but oh well.

"You look like a playboy." Katie teased, earning a chuckle from Azure, who rolled her eyes at her words.

"Well, I was kind of a player, back in the day," Azure admitted, swinging her arm around Katie's shoulders, guiding her towards the living room.

Katie laughed softly at Azure's admission, leaning into the taller woman's embrace as they made their way to the living room. There was a warmth and familiarity in their easy banter, a sense of comfort and companionship that filled the air between them. "Why am I not surprised?"

Azure chuckled softly at Katie's teasing, a playful grin tugging at the corners of her lips as she sat on the entryway bench, grabbing a pair of black and white Uptempo.
