Third person's pov!

Siddharth picked up his phone and dialled Parinidhi's number. He kept calling her, but the calls went unanswered.

An hour later Siddharth Singh Raichand started pacing to and fro in his room like a caged tiger.

How dare she ignore his calls?

The nerve of the woman to ignore him. Him? Siddharth Singh Raichand?

He picked up his phone and dialled her once again.

"Pick up. Pick up damn it!!" He kept muttering under his breath, willing her to pick up the call.

Bhavna, who spent an hour mulling over Siddharth's behaviour had decided to talk it out to himself.

They were getting engaged for heaven's sake and soon to be married too, and the man doesn't have an ounce of respect for her. How can she spend an entire life with him if he shouts at her and shuts her out according to his convenience.

She had told him that this was just a convenience for her too, but it was a lie. She was madly in love with Siddharth for the past few months. When he had broken things off with her, she had been heartbroken. But now fate was giving her another chance to be with him and that was the reason why she agreed to all his conditions and decided to marry him when he had clearly made it clear to her that there will be no love in the marriage. Because she believed her love would be enough for the two of them and hoped against hope that one day he will grow to love her too..

But is love enough?

As she reached Siddharth's room she saw him pacing the room angrily and trying to call someone on the phone.

She could hear him muttering 'pick up' and  'damn it' multiple times.

Who dared to ignore Sid's calls? Bhavna wondered in astonishment. What was even more surprising was that Sid kept on calling the person again and again.

As far as she knows Sid, the man would break off even an important deal if the other party in question so much as delayed a few minutes in responding.

It has happened before too.

Bhavna could feel the fury emanating from Sid and chickened out of having the conversation with him now.

As Bhavna came downstairs, Jeevika noticed the disappointed look on Bhavna's face and Jeevika knew without an ounce of doubt that her brother must be the reason behind that.

"Bhavna? Are you okay? You look dull." Jeevika said softly.

Bhavna hugged Jeevika in desperation. She so badly wanted comfort. Someone to tell her everything would be okay.

"Why is Sid like this, di?" Bhavna asked with a defeated sigh.

Jeevika sighed not knowing how to answer that question? When she herself doesn't have a clear answer to that, what was she supposed to say?

She cannot put all the blame on what happened during their childhood. There are people living happily and contentedly even after going through terrible traumas in their childhood. She herself was an example of that. The past had been terrible. The trauma of losing both the parents was intolerable, but still she learned to accept the fate and moved on in life. But her brother on the other hand is still stuck on it, angry at their father for depriving them of a father when fate took their mother away.

"What did he do, Bhavna?" Jeevika asked and words tumbled out of Bhavna's mouth.

Jeevika was furious with her Bubba.
