Continued From Part 1!

...After what Mr Griffiths told Gordon, he was very shocked to see that his usual Swansea - London Paddington (Express) was replaced with a Class 37 diesel, he was most annoyed he went with 8572 to they're shed to rest his loco. Soon after he settled down in his shed, he and his driver had got a call from Mr Griffiths. "37 024 has broken down on at Maindee Junction, and needs a strong engine to push, the Class 66 and 58 are busy doing other odds and sods, so we need you to push it up the hill", "Oh for God's sake" muttered Gordon "I don't own a banking engine", he wasn't happy, but still he pushed the train up the hill.

The 37 was running perfectly after a touch of oil, turns out it had the oil that was meant for 1211. The 58, was racing past the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway, he was having the time of his life, "This is more fun than pulling passengers" Owain Winters, his driver, said cheerfully, "Steady old boy, this isn't a race track, it's a railway". Most of the steamers jobs were replaced with diesel locomotives.

"Stupid things" remarked Barry, "Why can't this railway be just steamers no diesels?", Arnold retorted. Dean Wood, the driver of 66 176 had overheard what Arnold and Barry had said, he was so mad he blasted the horn for so long, he ended up blowing a fuse, and 1211 had to take him to Alfie's Garage. "There's another diesel out of the way" remarked the two drivers, "We need a way of getting rid of the rest of these bloody diesels, but how do we do it?". They all thought overnight and had a long chat about it the next morning, I shan't say anymore, or I shall spoil the final part of The Diesel Locomotives story.
