As soon as everyone in our class has formed their teams, the walls fall away to the new test. We all scatter to start saving people from the disaster, many of the other examinees do the same, but a few stay behind to start making a triage center so help with any injured civilians.

Shoji, Mina, and I run out towards the closest disaster zone, which is the ruined city, as I call out, "Alright, Tentacole, I need you to try and find any civilians!"

He nods in reply, "On it." He then starts making sprouting off several appendages in the form of eyes and ears.

We all keep traversing the rubble, little slower now that Shoji is actually looking for civilians while I improve my radar, the Shoji points to the right, "I hear crying from over there, I see a small boy in a crater."

I look over and step forward, and upon spotting a blue dot on the edge of my radar, I call out, "Great work, let's move!"

We all start heading over, carefully traversing the destroyed city as we approach the crater, once we finally arrive, we all spot the young boy at the very bottom of the crater, trapped underneath some rubble that's over his right leg, crying.

I hum, "He's at the very bottom, we have to-"

Mina rushes past as she calls out, "Don't worry, we're coming!"

I grab the back of her jacket's collar and pull her back, "Pinky wait!"

Her feet are lifted off the ground as she's yanked back, which had startled her, then she looks back and says, "Huh, what, why?!"

Shoji answers, "The walls of this crater are unstable, if we take the wrong path, we might destabilize it further and bury him."

I nod, "Exactly, we have to be careful here." I look around the walls of the crater, studying the area's stability before ordering, "Follow me!"

I then lead the three of us down the crater walls, hopping from stone to stone, slope to slope, until we finally reached the bottom and run up to the crying, trapped boy.

I then kneel down as I ask, "Hey kiddo, how are you holding up?"

The boy's eyes tear up more, "M-my leg feels t-tight, I'm scared!"

I put a hand on his left shoulder as I say with a smile behind my helmet, "Don't worry, you'll be okay, just hold on, we'll get you out." I turn to my girlfriend, "Pinky, stay with him." She nods and takes my place as I step away and walk to Shoji.

He asks, "What's the plan?"

I reply softly, "We keep Pinky distracting the boy while the two of us get rid of that slab on him."

Shoji nods, "Good idea, but how are we going to get it off him?"

I answer, "We get on both sides of the slab, I use my thrusters to help lift, while you use several hands to lift, together we might be able to get it off him. Then we can check for injuries, treat them as best we can, then get him to the triage to be further evaluated there."

Shoji nods, "Alright, let's do it."

The two of us walk on either side of the concrete slab on top of the boy, and when I notice Mina talking adamantly about colors, I ask, "Whatcha talking about?" as Shoji and I get into position.

Mina looks back at me with a wide smile, "Our favourite colors!"

I start tapping my foot as a countdown, "Really, what are your favourite colors?" and upon my fourth stomp, Shoji and I start lifting.

Mina replies giddily, "Get this, we both like green!"

I tilt my head as I reply, "Really, I expected you Pinky, but the kid." I look to said boy, "Why's green your favourite color?" It was hard to hide the struggle in my voice, but I managed, it helped that I didn't have to hide it on my face.
