"We'll make it through. And I'll make sure you have the life you deserve."

Y/n sat quietly in the cold, dimly lit cell, her heart heavy with the weight of the night's events. Michael's head rested on her lap, his breathing steady and peaceful in contrast to the turmoil churning inside her. She gently ran her fingers through his blonde hair, feeling a strange sense of comfort in the repetitive motion. The soft strands slipped through her fingers like silk, and she found herself playing with it absentmindedly, a small, bittersweet smile touching her lips.

She studied his face, mesmerized by his features. Even in sleep, he looked strikingly beautiful, his delicate yet defined features softened by the faint light. His long lashes cast shadows on his cheeks, and his lips, slightly parted, seemed to speak of a vulnerability she hadn't expected. He was indeed beautiful, in a way that seemed almost otherworldly.

As she gazed at him, her mind drifted back to the chaos that had unfolded earlier that evening. The disbelief in her parents' eyes, the smug satisfaction on Vespera's face. How had it come to this? What was so special about her sister that made everyone bend to her will? What did Vespera have that she didn't? These questions gnawed at her, the answers elusive and painful.

Tears began to well up in her eyes, and she quickly blinked them away, but it was no use. They flowed freely down her cheeks, silent witnesses to her heartache. She ran a trembling finger through her own hair, seeking some semblance of comfort in the familiar gesture, but it did little to ease her pain. The exhaustion of the night caught up to her, and she felt herself slipping into unconsciousness, her body giving in to the overwhelming dehydration and emotional drain.

Michael stirred in his sleep, sensing the shift in her. He woke to find Y/n sprawled on the floor beside him, her face pale and her breathing shallow. Panic gripped him, and he shouted for help. " I need water!"

A police officer, hearing the urgency in his voice, hurried over and handed him a bottle of water through the bars. Michael took Y/n into his arms, supporting her head as he carefully poured the water into her mouth. She drank it subconsciously, her body instinctively responding to the much-needed hydration.

As she began to recover, a shadow fell over the cell. Michael looked up to see a man standing there, his presence commanding and somewhat intimidating. The man had long, dark hair and piercing eyes that seemed to look straight through him.

"What do you want?" Michael asked, his voice steady but edged with concern for Y/n.

The man's lips curled into a faint smile. "I'm here to take you with me and boost your talent. The display of skill you showed against the police officers at your house was... impressive. It would be a waste not to put that talent to better use."

Michael frowned, still cradling Y/n in his arms. "Who are you?"

"My name is Ray Dark," the man replied smoothly. "I can get you out of here. But in return, I want you to play for me."
