"Y/n, I was just trying to defend you."

After what felt like an eternity, the plane finally landed in Japan. The passengers, groggy from the long flight, shuffled through the terminal, their steps heavy with exhaustion. It was very late, the clock ticking past midnight. Noa, ever the efficient leader, quickly contacted Ego. Buses were promptly sent to ferry them to Blue Lock.

As the team boarded the bus, a pristelic silence settled over them. Some players whispered among themselves, while others focused on their own thoughts. Y/n chose a seat near the front, earbuds in, her attention absorbed by the notebook in her lap. She scribbled furiously, lost in her own world. "Don't lose your mind, you didn't see anything." she told herself.

At the back of the bus, Michael and Ness sat together. Ness glanced longingly towards the front where Y/n sat. He wanted to talk to  her, but duty bound him to stay with Kaiser, especially given the current tensions. Kaiser, for once, seemed at peace, his head resting against the window as he watched the city lights blur past.

The tranquility was short-lived. Three of his teammates, sitting across from him, started snickering. Noticing their laughter directed at him, Michael's patience quickly wore thin.

"What's so funny?" he asked, irritation creeping into his voice.

The boys exchanged glances, hesitation hanging in the air before one finally spoke up. "What happened between you and your plaything?"

Michael frowned, confusion and anger bubbling to the surface. "What the f*ck are you talking about?"

"Y/n," the guy responded nonchalantly. "Your little girlfriend doesn't seem too happy with you. Thank God, because I've wanted her for myself."

Michael's blood boiled. "Ex-f*cking-cuse me?!" he said, his voice low and dangerous as he moved from his seat, grabbing the guy by the collar.

Undeterred, the teammate continued, "I said, you have tensions, right? So just break up with her. She'd look way better in my bed anyway."

A sickening crack echoed through the bus as Michael's fist connected with the guy's nose. Chaos erupted as the other boys began to chant "Fight!" Noa, sitting at the front, turned his head sharply at the commotion. He saw Kaiser, wild with rage, dominating the fight. The victim screamed and pleaded, but the boy was relentless.

"Noa!" Y/n called out, pulling her earbuds out as she saw the commotion.

Noa stood up, signaling the bus driver to stop. He pushed through the crowd of boys, their faces alight with the thrill of the fight, and pulled Michael off his teammate. "Enough!" he bellowed, shooting a look of pure disappointment at Michael. The staff rushed to attend to the wounded boy.

Y/n was there in an instant, grabbing Michael's arm and pulling him off the bus and into the cool night air. She spun him around to face her, fury in her eyes. "I'm giving you five seconds to think of the most reasonable explanation for why you are beating your teammate," she hissed, her voice low but intense. "I'm really starting to get irritated with your behavior!"
