______________
Y/n sat in a dimly lit room, the only illumination coming from the monitors displaying the ongoing warm-up test. Noa had shown her the obstacle course earlier that morning. It looked grueling. "What happens if they fall?" she had asked, a bit concerned.
"There's a net underneath," Noa had replied, his gaze unwavering.
Now, she was alone, examining the stats of the new Blue Lock players, her mind half-focused on the task. Her thoughts kept drifting to Michael and Ness. She hadn't had the chance to talk to Michael that morning; when she went to their rooms, they were already gone.
She looked up as the monitor showed Michael and Ness standing in a room alongside their teammates, Noa in the center. The Blue Lock boys entered, and Noa stepped forward, speaking in German. "Wir sehen uns im Ziel, Ich warte dort auf dich," he said.
The Blue Lock boys looked puzzled. "Eh? What's this for, Cyber Athletes?!" a bald one asked.
"Ah... he's leaving," another one speculated.
"It's an obstacle course," responded a crazy-looking one.
Then the countdown clock began. "Whoa, why is it counting down?" asked a white-and-black-haired boy.
"What did Noel Noa just say?" another asked.
"Come to the goal," the one with glasses explained. "So we are going against the German players right off the bat. Alright then, let's do this!"
They continued to talk among themselves while the German boys watched from their side. Ness pointed, "Do you see the orange-haired boy next to the blue one? He looks kinda strong."
Michael nodded, looking forward. But he wasn't looking at Kunigami, he was looking at a certain someone. "That's Isagi Yoichi," he whispered.
The clock struck one, and they took off sprinting, reaching the first zone: the straight dash. Michael led, with Ness right behind him and the orange-haired boy from Blue Lock as well. The second zone was the climb dash, a steep platform to run up. The third zone, the ladder sprint, Michael breezed through easily. Then came the step jumps. Without hesitation, he lunged towards one, moving quickly from one to another, wasting no time. Finally, the fifth zone: ball dribble and shoot. Michael ran quickly and swung his leg, shooting the ball right into the center. A ding sound signaled his finish.
Standing near the doors, Michael watched as Ness approached. "Are you coming?" Ness asked.
"I'm waiting for Blue Lock's ace," Michael replied.
