You and your boyfriend of four months, Cameron, decided to go see his friend, Shawn, perform at the stadium in your city, along with a few of the other guys. Shawn provided you all with tickets, and promised he would be free afterwards to go out to ice cream or something.

You and Cam bought t-shirts with Shawn's face on them and a ton of glow sticks, headbands, and face paint just to show off how big of fans you were.

Shawn was insanely good, and after the show, you were exhausted from all the screaming and jumping you did.

"You were louder than most of the people who don't know Shawn personally," Cameron remarks, grinning sheepishly.

You laugh. "No kidding, I'm sweating to death."

"Wanna take a walk around outside? Shawn just texted Jack, and said it could be a while before he makes it out, with the meet and greet and all," he reasons.

You nod, allowing him to take your hand in his as you exit the stadium, which was slowly emptying like honey. You walk down the concrete steps in the back, your free hand gliding over her handrail until you reached the bottom and you circled around the wall to a closed off area in the back.

"It's a lot quieter back here," Cameron whispers, his dark brown eyes meeting yours for a moment. He was sweating a bit too, his skin sparkling in the soft moonlight illuminating his face.

"Yeah," you bite your lip.

All of a sudden, you hear loud footsteps coming around the corner, and the two of you both turn to see who it is.

"Cam, are you back here?" Matt yells, slowly approaching the two of you. "Oh, there you are. Sorry to interrupt, but there are some girls in the front asking if you were here, wanting to meet you. It's only like two or three girls, I swear."

You feel Cam's fingers slip away from yours as he quietly groans to himself. "Okay, fine. I'll be right there."

He turns to face you. "Stay here, baby," he says softly. "I'll be right back, I promise."

You smile. "I'll be here."

He gives you one last glance before following Matt around the building, allowing you to realize just how quiet the night is when no one is around to make conversation with, or at least fill your mind with something.

You hadn't been waiting for very long, when the back door suddenly swings open, and yet another figure steps out, waving the minute his eyes land on you.

"Y/N?" Shawn calls, shutting the door behind him. He was only a silhouette with the light behind him, but you recognized his voice right away. He was holding his guitar case in his right hand, the other one he used to hold open the door.

"What are you doing out here alone?" he asks.

You shrug, lifting your voice over the mild winds. "Cameron just left, but he's coming back."

He nods, stepping outside the door and letting it close behind him before stepping across the cracked concrete to get to his truck, where he loaded his guitar in the backseat. He was sweating all down the sides of his face, and his dark red t-shirt had become an even darker shade.

"You did really well tonight," you compliment him, leaning on the back of the car that you now knew was his.

"Really?" he raises an eyebrow, looking somewhat proud. "Thanks Y/N. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I love your t-shirt by the way. And your headband. Are those my initials painted on your forehead?"

You can't help but laugh, your chuckle being the loudest thing in the still night.

"Cam's idea," you explain. "We all went along with it."

"I'm not surprised," he nods again. "Or complaining. In fact you look really nice in blue."

You pause, trying to figure out if he was joking or not.

"Thanks?"

"We should really hang out sometime," he suggests.

You frown. "Shawn, we always hang out -"

"No, like, just us," he lowers his voice.

You try to take in everything he was saying, but you were so confused, it was really difficult. Maybe he goes crazy after shows and forgets stuff, you weren't sure.

"Um, no?" you laugh. "I have a boyfriend."

"Yeah, but, that doesn't mean I can't tell you that you look nice, without you getting all tensed up. I am into you though, just a little."

You ease into a smile. "Shawn, I'm sorry," you start. "But -"

"She's not interested," a voice says loudly from around the corner, making you and Shawn both jump. You turn around to see Cam walking towards you, not looking very happy.

"I came to your concert to support you," he groans, glaring at Shawn. "And you start flirting with my girlfriend the second I turn my back?"

A wave of realization crosses Shawn's face, turning his cheeks redder than they were before. His entire perspective suddenly changed, and you realized that Shawn wasn't flirting with you like that because he wanted to sneak around with you. He really liked you.

"I'm s-sorry," he manages to say. "I just thought... "

"That it was okay to tell your friend's girlfriend that you're into her?" Cameron booms.

You slap his shoulder, your eyes unable to leave Shawn's. "That's enough, Cam," you try to stop him.

"No, he needs to understand that what he did was wrong."

"I do understand," Shawn chokes back the tears welling up in his eyes.

"Then why did you do it?" Cam demands.

Shawn looks up from the ground, directing his answer to you instead of Cameron.

"I thought... " he sinks his teeth into his bottom lip. "I thought you liked me."

"Well she doesn't," Cameron says quickly.

"I know that now," Shawn acknowledges quietly, shutting his car door and avoiding your gaze all the way to the stage door.
