Chapter - 70 - Redemption

This chapter Ash and AJ have a battle for Serena. Ash, wanting to redeem himself for his Kalos League loss is highly determined to win. Meanwhile in Kalos, Aria has a suspicious visit. What will come from that?

"I can't believe that our plane had to land here! Now we have to walk all the way to Viridian City!" Serena complained, her irritation evident.

Narrator: After Ash defeated Volkner and secured his 9th pearl, our heroes set their focus on Viridian City where Ash’s last and final battle was awaiting.

However due to some troubling weather, the plane that carried our heroes had to take a different path, finally landing on a private airfield in a nearby town.

The owner of the small area, containing one strip for take off and landing, had been surprised to see such a massive plane land on his property.

However when the captain and the man had talked, and the man was promised a hefty sum for compensation, the man reluctantly agreed.

Now, all the passengers were being escorted out of the plane, taxi's waiting for them to bring them to Viridian City.

However, as luck would have it, Ash, Serena and Brock were too late and there weren't any taxi's left, their only option to reach Viridian City was now by walking.

A small smile tugged on Ash's lips as he gave his frustrated girlfriend a glance, a light chuckle escaping.

"Whats so funny?" Serena questioned, the chuckle not escaping her notice.

"You," Ash replied with a smirk playing on his lips. "You look cute when you act like this."

Serena flushed, her frustration momentarily gone at Ash's remark.

Brock, walking behind them for the moment, shook his head and sighed. He wasn't against them teasing one another but sometimes, he wished to have someone there for him in the same way. Someone to love and to care for.

"We've been traveling a lot by planes and other forms of transport lately," Ash said, his voice light as he seemed to enjoy himself. "Its been a while since we've actually walked like this. I don't mind it really." He explained himself, taking a glance around and seeing a flock of Pidgey and Pidgeotto flying through the air.

Serena sighed, her posture now relaxing and releasing all the tension inside. "I guess you're right..." she admitted. "I think that the frustrations of our plans all being messed up made me think too harshly." Serena said, a small smile forming on her lips.

"Its been a while since we've actually enjoyed ourselves." She added, locking her hand with his.

Brock stepped to their side. "Sometimes, taking time to appreciate everything around us is relaxing. Like, we're not here to just hop from place to place but rather to enjoy the ride while we move forward.
