The feeling of sand between my toes brought back severe feelings of nostalgia. It brought back memories of the happy, good times. But then it brought back the feelings of hatred I felt towards the world.

I glanced down at my body as I bit my bottom lip nervously. I was so insecure about my body. My thighs were thick and my stomach had a little pudge. My body was strange. Some days I thought I looked awesome, a straight up six pack and toned legs. But then on other days I looked like this. I didn't want to look like a boney toothpick like most models but I wanted to be thin and toned. Is that too much to ask for?

"Hey, are you okay?" Adam asked, a wave of worry washing over his face.

"Uh yeah.... I'm just lost in my thoughts," I told him.

"Okay. You look smoking hot in that bikini and tank top by the way." His lips curled into a smirk and he did a little eyebrow wiggle.

I felt the blush rise to my cheeks,
"Uh thanks I guess. You look quite captivating with that tank top and blue swim trunks. They match your eyes by the way."

"Aw thanks babe!" He smiled cheerfully and his hand found mine. He entwined our fingers as we walked up to the shoreline. I glanced down at our hands, embracing the feeling of happiness.

I haven't felt this way in a while.

We reached the waters edge and we turned to head a certain direction. After a minute or so we literally ran into Tommy. He was turned around, talking to the group and walked right into us.

"Oh I'm sor- Hey you finally made it!" I cheered. He grabbed Adam's arm and dragged us over to the group.

Terrance and Ashley were lying on beach towels, having a conversation when we walked up. Once we came into there view they added us into their conversations. I couldn't help but notice that they would occasionally stare at Adam and I. Especially our hands that were bound together.

I wonder what they think about us..? They probably think that we are together but they still think that Adam is gay. The only person that he came out to about be bisexual was me.

"Skyler?" I shook my head, breaking away from my thoughts. "I've been trying to get your attention for like 5 minutes now!" Adam said with a laugh.

"Oh uh sorry... I was just thinking." I looked down, letting my hair conceal my blush.

"You're very thoughtful today. I'm gonna go back to the car and grab us some towels okay? You should stay here with the group."

"Okay." I smiled but it faded away when Adam let go of my hand and walked away. He's been gone for less than 3 seconds and I already miss him.

Get it together Skyler, your pathetic...

Terrance started some small talk with me while I stood there awkwardly. I didn't want to sit because then the sand would be stuck to my butt and then it would be all over the towel.

Adam finally came back back but he had more than I expected. He was carrying a bag with towels and food. He was also carrying a large umbrella to block the sun. Adam handed me the bag with the towels. I laid then out while he struggled with the umbrella.

I just stood and watched for a few seconds until I intervened. I dug out a hole and stuck the pole into the ground. Then I attached the umbrella part and opened it up.

"Smart ass," I heard Adam mumble behind me. I just smirked at him as I sat down on my towel. It was nice. I was clam, relaxed and happy. I've forgotten how nice the beach can be.

I leaned back and propped myself up on my elbows. I watched as kids splashed in the Pacific Ocean and observed the various couples that walked by. I couldn't help but smile when I watched a family of redheads walked by. The only person that wasn't a ginger was the father. He had darker hair than the others but it still fit in.

I glanced over at Adam and noticed that he was watching the same family as I was. He looked over in my direction and we locked eyes. He slid his hand over and it landed on mine. Without saying anything I knew we were thinking the same thing.

That could be us.

Sadly our moment was killed when we heard someone yell behind us.
"ADAM!! GET IN THE WATER!!"

I turned to see who it was and it was the paparazzi. Dammit.

"Hi guys! I'm not gonna get in the water today," Adam yelled at them politely. He turned back around to us and rolled his eyes.

"ADAM JUST GET IN THE WATER!" One pap demanded over and over.

Adam just continued his conversation with the group but held  his middle finger up at the paps.

"COME ON YOU FAG GET IN THE WATER!" The same pap yelled. And that's when Adam lost it.

Before I knew it Adam was running towards the pap. He grabbed for his camera but missed. I got up and ran towards the commotion.

"Adam just stop!"

Adam turned back to me and I the feeling of fear racked my body. His eyes were dark and almost demonic. I've seen Adam angry before but this was beyond infuriated.

He grit his teeth and growled at the guy. "DONT CALL ME A FUCKING FAG YOU IMBECILE!" Adam is gonna kill this guy. Oh shit. Adam is gonna kill this guy.

"Yeah I called you a faggot! Can you not hear me cause you've got one stuck up your ass?" The pap laughed at him.

Adam snatched for the camera again but it was out if his reach. "LEAVE ME AND MY FRIENDS ALONE YOU HOMOPHOBIC SON OF A BITCH!" Adam cursed at him.

By now a crowd had formed around them and pulled them apart. I ran over to Adam but kept my distance from him. He might snap again and I don't want to be near him when that happens.

"Get off of me," Adam said. The people let go of him and he stomped towards the group. He yelled something and gathered all of our stuff. He sped walked towards me and grabbed my hand.

"We're going home." He dragged me behind him. Once we got to the car he pulled out his phone and was already on twitter. After a few seconds my phone sent me a notification from twitter.

"@adamlambert:
I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol
-

I looked up at him and he surprisingly had a smirk on his face.

"You know, your fans are gonna be extremely confused and that's not gonna help you out in the news. They're gonna twist that and think you wanted to do harm," I explained to him.

"Yeah I guess that makes sense." He pulled out his phone again and started typing away. Before he sent it  to the social media world he let me read it first.

-
@adamlambert:
Battery? Nope. I just attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground. It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime - that's all I'm guilty of.
-

I handed his phone back to him and nodded in acceptance. But there was still something in mind. "Your fans are still gonna be confused."

"I'm sure the word has already gone worldwide," he told me. He put down his phone and turned the car on. It didn't take long until we were in the road again.

{For those of you that realized where my inspiration came from for this chapter; congratulations. For those of you that didn't, let me explain. This is an actual event that happened in 2010 but I just added some parts to make it more dramatized. So yeah :) comment and vote and if you follow me I'll follow you back!}
