Vampires are extinct.

In fact, some say they are merely fairy tales. Folk tales to scare the living shit out of children so that they can't go to sleep without the lights switched on, or without their parents beside them, to pat their heads while they go to sleep.

Humans in the past have always thought of vampires as evil, cold-blooded, blood-sucking creatures.

They think of vampires as creatures of the night, as killers.

However, are vampires really extinct?

No. In fact, they are living amongst the humans right now. There might be one living in the house next to yours, there might be one in your class.

One of your family member might even be a vampire.

And who knows, you might be one next.

Usually, vampires have stereotypical pale white skin, red luscious lips, beautiful hypnotizing eyes, and sharp fangs.

They live forever and ever, unless stabbed by anything silver or if garlic was shoved in their face.

How amazingly ridiculous.

They smile, they laugh, they cry.
They live, they breathe, they die. Even if they live a bit longer than normal humans, maybe a century longer, they still die. They are mistaken to be immortal.

They go through emotional upheaval, they go through puberty, they go through sufferings.

They endure hardships, they fall in love, they have feelings.

After all, vampires are only humans. They have different skin colors like us; nothing extraordinary like pale white skin the color of ghost.

Yes, they hypnotize people with their eyes. Or else how are they going to suck blood without letting their victim being okay with it?

Also, theirs change colors.

Fangs are still part of their body, of course.

And these fangs are still used to suck blood.

Blood, the color of red.

There is a legend, about a young human girl. She has the scent in her blood, the scent that drove vampires mad.

The blood that all vampires want to drink.

This young girl possesses the power to let any vampire live forever, but only one may be granted the honor.

And to get that honor, the vampire will have to drain the blood from the girl, till she is limp.

Till she is dead.

Only then, can he live forever and ever, like the fairy tales said.

Except, there are billions of humans in this vast world, and many are girls.

How is it possible to pinpoint the location of the one with the scent?
