Chapter 11

Niall’s POV:

I led them to the music room once I had introduced them to Demi. With every step I took, a shock of pain went up my back from my tailbone. I made a mental note to pay a visit to the doctor tomorrow.

I sat down on the couch and a small wince came out of my mouth. Demi heard it and we made eye contact. I sent her a silent message to get me a painkiller. Demi excused herself then exited the room. “So are you lads going to show me what you can do?” I asked them.

I looked at each other then Calum said that they would. The one who I think is Michael, pulled an acoustic guitar out of its case and Ashton set a box drum on the ground.

They began to sing just as Demi walked into the room with a pill and a glass of water.  I washed the pill down my throat.

Eddie Never went nowhere
He stayed at home and play his X-Box
He read too many comics

Then somehow it got around
That his parents would be out of town

She wore those thick black glasses

They started making out and it would never be the same

By the end of the song I was feeling much better. Not just because my tailbone was hurting less, but because these lads were really good. Demi and I both cheered loudly clapping like maniacs. The Take Me Home tour was going to be great!

“We honestly weren’t expecting to meet Demi Lovato today.” Luke chuckled, “Can we have your autograph?”

“And maybe a live performance?” Calum added.

Demi chuckled. “Sure, I guess so.”

“What song are you going to sing for us?” I asked her.

“How about Nightingale?” She asked.

“Is that from your new album?” I asked.

“New album!” Ashton exclaimed, “Why haven‘t we heard about this before?!”

Demi looked deep inside my eyes as she began to sing in her beautiful voice, “I can't sleep tonight

Luke, Michael, Calum, and Ashton were clapping and cheering, but I was sitting there dumbfounded.

“Are you okay Niall?” Luke asked.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Demi, who was that song about?” I said.

There was a long pause before she says, “About you.”

Ashton is chuckling and asking if Demi and I were a couple, but neither of us answered him. Instead, I went up to her, grabbed her face in my hands and kissed her passionately. This kiss was so unlike anything that I’ve ever felt before. Maybe it was because for the first time, Demi was kissing me back passionately. Maybe it was because the song was something magical or maybe it was because that now Demi knew that she was ready to fall in love.

We were broken apart by Michael who chuckled, “Well I guess that answers your question.”

“What?” asked Demi.

“I was talking to Ashton.” Michael replied.

Demi pulled away from me and I could tell she was embarrassed.

We hung out the rest of the night. We did crazy things and once Demi even took a picture of the lads and I messing around and posted it on Twitter.

When they left, I have to admit that I was disappointed. They are really fun to be around.

Shortly after, Louis, Liam, and Zayn came home. The only thing I remember was Harry coming through the door very late in the night and saying goodnight to Demi as I drifted off to sleep on the couch.
