Chapter 11

Joy's POV

Surprisingly, feeling no pain, I sat up looking around in an unfamiliar room. It was really small, including the bed. The place was also dark, I couldn't make out anything.

I notice Henry was sitting on a chair besides me, sleeping.

Not feeling tired and not wanting to wake up Henry, I decided to go by the lake. I wasn't really in the mood to talk to anyone so I left quietly.

While walking through the corridors, it was eerily quiet. No servants was walking around, no bumping into strangers, just nothing.

I finally made it outside and sat down by the tree. Letting the breeze flow by, I start to get an uneasy feeling in my stomach like I'm forgetting something. Like there was something that happened, but can't remember.

Comfortable with the silence, I summon a butterfly. Waving my hand around, a butterfly comes out with it's reddish orange, flaming wings.

Someone clears their throat, getting my attention.

"It still amazes me how you could do that."

"I thought you were sleeping." I said to Henry.

"Well I was.....but when I woke up, you weren't there so I just figured you'd be here." He shrugged.

"Oh...well since your here, come sit." I patted an empty space next to me.

He sat next to me and closed his eyes as he leaned against the tree.

Breaking the silence, I asked, "W-Why does it feel like something happened, but I can't remember."

"Something did happen, we were fighting off-wait, you said you can't remember anything?" He asked looking at me with a concerned face.

"Nope, so something did happen?" I brung up my knees to my chest.

"Yeah, when your powers came, we fought off the Creeptons, and you basically wiped out all of them, including those two guys."

"I did all of that!" I got really excited. "What else happened?"

He looked down, avoiding eye contact, "One of those guys, stabbed Sam...through the chest. But don't worry, she's still alive. She's still sleeping."

I clutched my heart, relived that's she is still alive. I abruptly stood up and paced back and forth as questions start going through my head.
What if she never wakes up? Who will I talk to? Why couldn't I remember anything? What do I do now?

"Joy, calm down." Henry cups my face with both hands and he looks down at me, face nearly inches apart from mine.
His eyes flickered down to my lips, as if he was debating something, as for I, I was doing the same. For a brief moment, we locked eyes and slowly, Henry leans forward, pressing his lips against mine.

Let just  say.....best first kiss ever!
When our lips met, it was blissful sparks that went through me. He gently slid his tongue against my lips, asking for permission, but I denied. He pouted and I smiled, he slipped his hands to my waist and squeezed making me gasp but he took advantage of that by sliding his tongue in and we both intertwined our tongues together, fighting for dominance and then we finally let go breathing heavily.

Kissing him felt like all my worries slipping away. Basically feeling like I was on cloud nine.

He rest his forehead against mine and my eyes was still closed. "Wow...never seen a girls face this red." Henry said.

My eyes snap open wide as I quickly face my back towards him, hiding my face.

Soon, I felt his chest against my back as he breathes on my neck, sending shivers down my back. His arms slowly made its way around my waist. "No need to feel embarrassed, I was just kidding."

"Please...me embarrassed? That's funny." Making my voice sorta shaky.

"Denying, that was what you were doing . You know what else-" He was interrupted by a loud crash off in the distance.

Both of us alarmed, I spotted something huge, out in the open.

The first thing that popped into my head was, "I'm gonna check it out." Before letting him respond, I quickly dashed off.

I could hear Henry calling after me but I still don't turn around but continue running. Finally reaching up to the....spaceship?

"You know you shouldn't be running off to random things that fall out the sky." Says Henry as he inspects the spaceship.

"Do you think anyone is inside?" I asked knocking on it.

"Don't know. Don't care. Come on." He grabbed my hand and started to walk back inside.

"Wha-We can't just leave it there." I protested.

"I'm going to report this to the King."

"You're the worst." I yanked my hand away and walked back to the spaceship.

Knocking on the spaceship and asking 'Anybody there?', finally the door slowly opens.

I rushed over to find a girl who is probably no younger than seventeen, very pale skin, long black hair, and about my height. Probably taller.

When she looked up at me, there was only one person I saw-

Elliot.

.

.

After going back to the King and discussing what we were going to do with her, I stayed with her while she slept in one of the guests room.

It wasn't long till she passed out in my arms and Henry carried her back inside.

So many questions ran through my head, it gave me a headache. Who is she? Where did she come from? What's her name? But the question that stuck on me the most was: Why does she look so much like Elliot?

"Are you just going to sit here until she wakes up?" asked Henry.

"Oh..um no. I'm actually going to find Elliot. Got some questions that needs answers." I said then turned to Henry and asked, "Wanna come?"

"Sure." He shrugged. "I think he's in his room."

"Off to Elliot's room!"

Really short and crappy chapter, I know. Especially with the thing going on between Henry and Joy. Just REALLY sorry about that, needed something to happen and accomplished that. (In a crappy way.) But I also wanted their conservation with Elliot to be in their own chapter. So that's that.

Anyways....new girl? Who could that be?? (Sarcastic tone.)
