Having dinner with my mate, Lorcan and Thorn was not as fun as I hoped it would be.

Not that I was expecting it to be fun. I mean they hated Elijah. And they didn't even try to hide it. Well, Lorcan didn't. Thorn didn't say that he hated my mate, unlike Lorcan, who told Elijah that at at least four times during to whole car ride. What was only fifteen minutes

Elijah didn't react to Lorcan. He just ignored him and kept driving towards the restaurant. Thorn just kept silent, staring out of the window. But he did glance towards his Alpha every few minutes. When Lorcan noticed Thorn staring at him he blushed a bright shade of red and looked away.

I was planning on asking him about that. He told me that Thorn was a special person to him. But I had no idea it was that kind of special. Not that I minded. I mean as long as he was happy. As long as Thorn treated him better than Elijah had treated me.

My mate cleared his throat. "We're here," he said and looked at me. I nodded and unfastened my belt. Just as I was about to get out of the car, he grabbed my hand. "You know I don't approve of that dress, but you look beautiful in it."

I forced a smile. "Thank you."

Elijah who luckily saw it as a real one, smiled back at me. "I think you would look beautiful in anything."

"Stop sliming, you son of a biotch. I'm hungry get out of the car," Lorcan huffed out annoyed and got out of the car,  slamming the door behind him. His Beta didn't say a word and quickly followed his lead, slamming the door close just had hard, but I think that was unintentional.

Elijah clenched his jaw and growled before taking a deep breath. He gave me a look. "See what I'm doing for you? I would have kicked him out of the car as soon as he opened his mouth. But I'm trying Parker, for you."

With that he left the car.

Frowning, I got out of the car. What did he mean by that? He was trying?

I quickly walked towards the entrance of the entrance. Ignoring Elijah who was standing next to the car, holding his han out to me. In the car, during the ride, he had tried to grab my hand too.

But I wasn't ready to take his hand.

I wasn't sure he was going to keep a hold of it and not let go.

That's why I was going to test him. Nothing bad, I was just going to do the same thing he had done to me. And I did't feel on ounce of guilt by thinking of that.

"Good evening," the waitress said as soon as she saw me. "Do you have reservation?"

I immediately looked at the floor, as a sort of reflex. I had no idea what to do. This was the first time I was interacting with someone other than a pack member. And I had no idea what to do.

When I heard a door open behind me, I nearly sighed in relief when I felt Elijah stand beside me. "Hello, I made a reservation under the name Jacobs."

The waitress didn't respond and after a few seconds I looked up. She was staring at my mate like he was a piece of candy.

A growl left my lips before I could stop it. My eyes widened and I instantly covered my mouth with my hands.

Elijah placed a hand on my lower back, as if trying to reassure me. To calm me down.

But it wasn't helping. I wasn't supposed to feel jealous! He was the who needed to be jealous! And I wouldn't be reassuring him. I would be smirking.

Getting a new bust of confidence I straightened my back, glared smiled at the waitress and started walking towards Lorcan and Thorn. They were already sitting at a table at the back of the restaurant. There were a lot of people here, a lot of males. And as if I was some beautiful girl in a movie all of the turned my way. Their eyes going over my body like I was the menu.
