"Hey Matt! Where are you right now? I'm back in town!" I grinned as I talked down the phone to Matt.

It had been a few more days so I decided now was the time to tell my brother that I was back.

"Harri! Are you serious? I'm in the grill working but my shift finishes in a few, I'll meet you there!" He rushed all his words in excitement and I couldn't help but laugh.

I ended the call and started walking to the Grill since I was only at the town square.

One thing I was worried about was the slight panic in his voice.

It had been too long since I'd seen him so I have no idea how crazy he had been going whilst I was away.

According to Damon, he went pretty god damn crazy when I just up and left so I'm hoping he's not mad at me.

I had made it to the grill and slowly pushed the door open.

Here goes nothing.

My eyes immediately caught Matt at the bar but he moved to the back room a few moments after so I made my way to the bar and perched myself on the barstool.

I couldn't help but think of the other day with Damon in here. We may not have been sitting here for long but what happened afterwards was certainly memorable.

After everything happened, We've basically just been acting like a couple... Because I guess we were now.

Not that anyone knew that was...

I mean, imagine how my brother would react if I said Damon and I were together?

He doesn't even like us hanging around let alone sleeping with each other.

I was waiting for a minute or so before the back door opened again and revealed Matt in his normal clothes.

He was searching for me straight away and when he saw me he rushed out from behind the bar and hugged me as soon as he laid a hand on me.

I laughed a little at his eagerness "Hey Matty."

"I missed you so much Harri." He mumbled into my shoulder and I sighed.

"I know Matt, and I'm sorry about it." I replied, being released from the hug. I kept my arm on his shoulder "Things have just been... Hectic."

We spent the afternoon in the grill.

I think we must've say there for hours, just talking about what had been happening.

I didn't say anything about Damon since I wanted to see if it would actually work out with us before declaring things to everyone.

Like a trial two weeks to see what happens. Because if it doesn't work out and we tell everyone it'll be mega awkward to the tell people that we aren't.

So, we sorted out this little plan.

When I left Matt, he was a bit more relaxed than he was before. When I had discussed everything, minus the blood thing, about what happened in New Orleans, he understood the reason why I left since he was helping Jeremy with the hunters thing and was finding it difficult to stop him from killing his own sister.

Talking about that, he also mentioned that when I was gone, Damon had stepped in to help with training Jeremy to fight and kill vampires since he knew Jeremy wouldn't be a match for him.

I was surprised at Damon since he didn't say anything to me about it.

But still, it was nice to catch up with my brother.
