*3rd persons POV*

Looking down at the two bodies lying on the floor and sofa, Elena couldn't help but crumple to her knees.

"I can't!" She cried out, her friends watching her with no knowing on what to do.

Stefan and Caroline just stared as their best friend broke down.

A tear slid down Stefan's cheek as his eyes found the second body that was wrapped up in blankets that was placed in the middle of the floor.

Blonde hair was flowing out the blankets with just the side of Harri's face showing. Her skin pale, almost grey in colour with her eyes closed.

They had no idea where Damon had gone. As soon as he found out about Harri he just took off.

He didn't even want to believe it at first, but when he found himself next to Elena who was crumpled over Jeremy's body, he couldn't help but stare at the other lifeless body on the floor.

Harri just lay there, blood still slightly oozing out of the open bite mark on her neck but you could tell that wasn't the wound that she died from.

He knew that her neck was snapped just from the mere position that it lay in.

Listening hard, he knew his suspicions were correct since he couldn't hear any heart beats.

After that he just disappeared, muttering words about going to find Bonnie since she was no longer in the cave.

"What do I do?" Elena asked but not to anyone, to herself.

She couldn't handle the pain and suffering from losing yet another member of her family.

The only thing that came to mind was a switch.

The one tiny switch that could change everything.

So, she flipped it.

As she was on her knees, a few shaky breaths passed her lips before she stood up once again, moving to the fireplace and grabbing the box of matches.

The room still smelt of the alcohol that she had poured all over the two bodies.

It was their cover story.

Jeremy and Harri were just chilling and playing games when a fire started and they were caught in the flames.

It was the only one that she could think of that got rid of all the memories that were riddled with death that were connected to that house.

All the people she had lost were just echoing through the walls as she struck the match.

Stefan and Caroline just watched. They knew not to stop her. They knew she had no humanity.

With one final heard turn of the front room, Elena chucked the match onto where Jeremy lay on the sofa which caught light instantly.

With fast movements, all three of the vampires were out the house in a matter of seconds. They watched through the window as the glow from the fire grew brighter and brighter. After a few more moments they all went their separate ways.

Unknowing to them however, the bundle of blankets on the floor had moved just a fraction, before a girl sat up abruptly and gasped loudly.

Before she could even comprehend what had happened to her, the hot flames of the fire brushed against her skin which caused her to jump up immediately.

Grabbing one of the blankets she was wrapped up in, she charged out the house, knocking into everything she went past.

The smoke was stinging against her eyes and clogging up her breaths as she fell against the front door, scrambling for the handle to pull.
