~No one's POV~

It was the next morning and Steve, as well as Serena, were getting ready. "Hey, you ready," Steve stopped mid sentence when he saw Serena in just her pants and bra, Steve's face flushed even though he was just looking at her back. "Uhm..." Serena blushed while she covered her front side with her shirt. "I am so sorry." Steve said rather quickly before turning around so that he was facing the wall.

"It's okay, at least I had some clothes on." Serena said, putting her shirt on. "But still, I am so sorry. I should have knocked or I don't know, I'm sorry. I am very very very sorry." Steve continued to apologize as he looked down at the ground. 'Those wings...' He thought as he thought about the wings on Serena's back.

"Steve," Serena stood in front of him and lifted his face up so that he was looking at her, "It's fine, it was just a small accident. You didn't know." 'Damn his eyes are so mesmerizing.' Serena thought as she looked into them. Serena's heart started to pound in her chest as she got butterflies in her stomach. Little did she know, Steve was exactly like how she was: pounding heart and swarming butterflies in his stomach.

Steve couldn't help but eye her up and down when she stepped out of her room, "Wow, you look. Wow." Serena giggled at Steve's lost for words. "But should you be wearing that though? I mean, what if guys look at you in the wrong way? What if they try something?" Steve worried. "Steve, I can protect myself, trust me. If not then I have you. But where did this come from all of a sudden?" Serena's clueless expression changed into a coy one, "Are you jealous?" 'Yes,' was the answer that he wanted to give her. "N-n-n-no." He stuttered, avoiding eye contact with her. Serena giggled and went to the shoe closet to get her boots.

Throughout the ride to the airport, Steve kept on apologizing to Serena, no matter how many times she told him that it was okay and that he can stop apologizing. "Ah, I was wondering when you would show up." Phil greeted them with his signature smile. "We're 15 minutes early." Serena chuckled, getting into the jet with Phil and Steve.

"So, this Doctor Banner was trying to replicate the serum that was used on me?" Steve asked when he got done reading Banner's profile. Serena was peeping over Steve's shoulder the whole time, paying more attention to each person's profile. "A lot of people were. You were the world's first superhero. Banner thought gamma radiation might hold the key to unlocking Erskine's original formula." Phil told Steve. "Didn't really go his way, did it?" Steve asked, looking up at Phil. "Not so much. When he's not that thing though, guy's like a Stephen Hawking." Phil shook his head, earning a confused look from Steve, a look in which Serena found cute. Serena couldn't help but let her giggles slip past her lips, earning weird looks from Steve and Phil. "It's just, Steve you looked cute confused. Oops." Serena slapped her hands over mouth when she realized that she said what she was thinking. "He's like a smart person. I gotta say, it's an honor to meet you, officially." Phil said, smiling more.

Upon hearing this, Steve smiled back at Phil. "I sort of met you, I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping." Phil continued, making Serena stifle a laugh. Steve closed the tablet and slipped it into his pocket before standing up and walking to the side with Coulson following. "I mean, I was... I was present while you were unconscious from the ice. You know, it's really, it's just a... just a huge honor to have you on board." Phil ended, deciding that he has said enough. Serena couldn't help but laugh at Coulson. "Well, I hope I'm the man for the job." Steve said.

"Oh, you are. Absolutely. Uh... we've made some modifications to the uniform. I had a little design input." Phil informed Steve. "The uniform? Aren't the stars and stripes a little... old fashioned?" Steve looked at Phil. "Steve, I think that's what the people need right now." Serena said before Coulson could say it.
