A/N: More Green Day and more feels...

I won't specify who is narrating it, I'll leave it to you to decide.

I sit down with the guitar in my lap. He bought me this guitar... I start to strum a tune, and soon, I start singing.

"Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road."
This seems pretty fitting.
"Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go."
This song applies to me in many ways. Especially to my relationship with him.

"So make the best of this test, and don't ask why.
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time."
I'm tearing up already. I won't- I can't- cry.

"It's something unpredictable,"
It was fun, but, of course, it couldn't last.
"but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life."

I continue to play, closing my eyes.

"So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind."
I still look at the photos occasionally, even though I know that I shouldn't.
"Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time."

"Tattoos and memories and dead skin on trial."
I got his name tattooed onto my chest, one of the most painful areas possible. I was about to show him it, but he left me before I could.
"For what it's worth, it was worth all the while."
Surprisingly, I don't regret it.

"It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right,
I hope you had the time of your life."
He meant everything to me, but I was nothing to him.

"It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right,"
Despite everything he put me through, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
"I hope you had the time of your life."
It was all just a game.

"It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right,"
I finally let the tears fall.

I really thought he loved me... I should have known better. He played with my emotions, then left me when I broke.
"I hope you had the time of your life."
