Daryl and Merle went to the grocery store considering all there food got spoiled. Daryl picked up some apples and some other things before Merle made a smart remark.
" since when did you eat apples" Merle said snatching the bag of apples from Daryl . "Since when do you care" Daryl said snatching the bag back. " just saying apples are for faggots, and you better not be one" Merle said . " would you crawl out of my ass already, look at ya you need an apple in ya life". Daryl said pushing the cart. "You calling me fat" Merle said walking beside Daryl to the checkout center " I'm sure as hell not calling you skinny". Daryl said with a laugh putting the items on the counter.
" The ladies like me like this" Merle said. "Yea alright" Daryl said giving the woman his money and grabbed the bags. The ride home was silent even though one of merles girlfriend call him asking can she come over tonight, Daryl made note not to be there at 9 to 10. Merle passed a long dirt road and saw a sign something about a handyman job. "WAIT" Daryl said. "GO BACK" Daryl said looking at the back of the sign. "No" Merle said.
"Go back you IDIOT" Daryl yelled. Merle quickly pushed break in did a U-turn into the long dirt road a barn was shown coming up then a large white house. Merle parked his truck and looked at Daryl ," What The Hell Are We Doing Here" he said clearly not liking the quality of the house.
"Just shut up and wait" Daryl said getting out of the car. He stepped onto the porch and rang the door bell. A few minutes after a pretty brunette girl answered the door with a confused look on her face, probably wondering why someone like me would ring there door bell. "Can I help you" she asked sweetly. "I saw the sign at the end of the road saying you need a handy man" Daryl said pointing dumbly down the road. Oh she said shaking her head. "My dad was gonna give interviews at 2 she said looking at her watch, its 11:40" she said with a smile
"Oh umm I'll just come back he said turning away from her". Okay she said closing the door
When 2:00 came, there were already 4 cars scattered around, making Daryl have too park in the back, he jumped out of merles truck making sure he had his documents. He started walking towards the house when he heard horse stomps behind him he quickly looked back and saw a blonde girl riding past him on the horse going straight for the barn and entering slowly. I stepped onto the porch again and was met with another man coming out shaking an older man hand. Daryl automatically thought that the older man was the owner of the house and the stranger was someone who didn't get the job considering the look on his face.
After the man and stranger said there goodbyes the older man looked at Daryl with friendly eyes. "Hello I'm Hershel Greene" he said with a nice smile and extending a hand . "Daryl Dixon" he said taking his hand and shaking it firmly. "Please come in" Hershel said stepping aside to let Daryl in. As soon as he did Daryl automatically knew that the man was a christian the way they were bibles scattered everywhere a total of eight and a cross above the fire place. After a minute of observing he led him into the dining room to interview him
Ok Mr. Dixon may I see your documents he said kindly. Daryl quickly handed him the documents and said "call me Daryl". "Ok Daryl it seems you've been working at a auto repair shop for two years, and construction for 3 years" he said a little surprised. "Your really experienced" he said with a smile
Well I Dont see why I shouldn't give you the job he said with a smirk "when can you start" he said. "today if you want me too" Daryl said. We have a deal Hershel said extending another hand and Daryl took it willingly. The screech of the screen door caught there attention to the person that was coming and when the person came Daryl heartbeat increased slightly and his mouth dropped . A beautiful blonde girl entered the room, her hair down her back with her tight skinny jeans and blue shirt showing her blue bra slightly and her cowgirl boots, with her light blue baby eyes. She had to be the most beautiful thing in there little town of Georgia. Beth, How was your date with Jimmy Hershel exclaimed getting up and giving his by a guess daughter a hug. It was okay she said breaking her attention to her father to Daryl . Who's this daddy she said looking at Daryl under her lashes
"Oh this is Daryl he's gonna be helping me around the farm" Hershel said putting his hand on her shoulder. Its very nice to meet you Beth said extending a hand to Daryl. Daryl took it slowly and looked deep in her light blue orbs and took his hand back making sure not to over do it. Ok um I'm gonna go brush Nelly Beth said looking into Daryl eyes and backing away at the same time bumping into a chair and snapping her attention on where she's going, she gave them both a smile before exiting the room
"Well Daryl let me lead you to the barn" Hershel said walking towards the front door again. when they got there Daryl could see what the problem was right away the lock on the barn was rusted and broken. "This lock is busted I need you to put this on Hershel said handing Daryl a new lock but a heavy duty one to put together.
Right then whatever Hershel said was cut off when Daryl's eyes landed on Beth Hershel daughter. she was washing there horse called Nelly with A white shirt on and some black shorts showing her long pale legs and cute little cowgirl boots, the horse shook off some water and she let out the most cutest giggle ever. Daryl was snapped out of his thoughts when Hershel touched his back and said you hear me Daryl. "Yeah yeah put the lock together I heard ya" Daryl said thinking fast. Yes, before sun down Hershel said patting Daryl on the back and making his way back to the house.
It didn't take Daryl long to put the lock together in fact it was pretty easy he got it done less than an hour. Focusing on his work to much he forgot beth was still in the barn, he was about to lock her in. "Hey hey she said grabbing the barn door, " Don't lock me in she said stepping out with a smile. Sorry Daryl said not making eye contact. " I forgot you were in there" Daryl said and immediately regretted saying it, now she knows he's been watching her. Its okay she tucking a piece of her loose hair behind her ear. Well congrats on getting the job she said crossing her arms. thanks Daryl said looking down. she gave Daryl a smile before she started heading towards the house. Daryl locked the lock on and gave it an secure shake before heading up to house also.
