Chapter 10

It's been an hour since the broadcast and my social media has blown up. 1,000's of more followers on everything. Tons of comments, both good and bad. So many things hash tagged to #Winter.
Yet nothing from Hunter. His broadcast ended 15 minutes ago and he hasn't came up to talk.
Maybe I should go find him, I did run out to start with, with the thought of washing a dog I don't even own. That excuse was weak, even for me.
I grabbed my phone off my bedside table and got up to look for Hunter.
It was roughly 9:30 p.m. so he may be asleep, I'll check the basement first.
I tip-toed down the stairs remembering the hilarious silly string attack I walked into not too long ago.
As I entered I heard talking and the television blaring.
I quietly walked in towards the couch area and saw all of the guys sprawled everywhere.
Blake and Mark hanging upside down off the couch.
Brandon awkwardly half on end the couch half off.
Jacob was laying on his back with his legs up on the tv stand and Hunter was laying on his stomach on his phone.
I couldn't help, but giggle at what I was seeing.
As soon as I did I heard several yelps. Mark and Brandon tumbled off the co and Jacob jerked back making the tv move.
Hunter and Blake quickly turned towards where I was standing and laughed.
I lightly smiled and said "Sorry, if I scared ya'll."
Brandon and Jacob just grumbled and everyone but Hunter got re-situated.
Hunter slowly got up and walked over to me as if he was expecting me to make a mad run for it.
He gave me a wear smile and went to speak, but I cut him off.

"I actually came down here looking for you, can we talk?"

"Yea, where at?" he smiled at me.
Man did I love that smile, it brightened my day.

"Grab a pair of swim trunks." I said before heading up the stairs.
Right where it all truly started, the pool. Our first little selfie, initiating our Winter.
I smiled at myself as I raced up the basement stairs and the mine to get to my room.
I rushed in and through my closet doors open in search of my favorite bathing suit.
It was in the very back and I grabbed it throwing it on.
It was a white cutout bikini.(pictured in chapter picture).
I grabbed a towel and my phone then raced down the stairs.
I reached the back door and looked at out, no one.
I took a cautious step out, waiting to be ambushed.
No one still. I walked over to the nearest chair and sat my stuff down.
I quickly hooked my phone up to the Bluetooth speaker sitting on the table by the chairs.
"I Hate You I Love You" started blaring. I set it on replay and walked towards the pool.
I sat on the edge of the deep end. 6 foot, deeper than I was tall.
I was quietly singing along to the song when I heard the back door shut.
I turned to see Hunter walking out.
Hello, absolutely flawlessness. His dark gray trunks hung lowly on his hips and I couldn't help but smile when he threw his towel down and started walking over towards me.
He sat down beside me, with almost no room between us, I doubt you could have fit more than a few sheets a paper there.
I couldn't help but smile at him as he looked up at the stars.
He was absolutely adorable. The way he found beauty in everything and everyone.
He looked at me and caught me staring before I could turn away.

"What?" he said through a smile.

"That smile, man it could kill."

His smile somehow widened and he let out a quiet chuckle, and turned to look at the pool.
The moonlight reflected off of it perfectly, lighting it enough to see.
I felt his hand slip over mine and leaned into him.
I laid my head on his shoulder and he leaned his onto mine.

"I'm sorry I ran off earlier. Just feelings you know?"

     "What do you mean?"

"I don't want to sound weird.."

     "Tell me."

"I haven't felt how I did before, I didn't know what to do, so I ran."

"So, it wasn't me? Thank god." I heard him let out a loud sigh.

"What do you mean?" I said through a small smile while turning to look at him.

"I didn't know if, you know. I did it wrong." I saw his cheeks get a little pink.
I smiled at him and looked into his eyes. I felt so happy in the moment. Happier then I've felt in awhile.
My body took actions before my mind had time to psyche myself out.
I cupped his jaw in my hand and leaned up towards his lips. Before my eyes closed I saw him lean forward.
Our lips connected for the second time and fireworks burst behind my eye lids.
I could feel the happy giggle sweep in my chest.
I felt him deepen the kiss and I couldn't help but smile, I felt him smile into the kiss too.
I was about to let out a happy giggle when all the lights flipped on around us and I heard several shouts.
     "Hey! PDA! PDA!" Mark yelled.
"Oh my god, my eyes!" Brandon screamed and several other inaudible shouts came from the others.
The yells caught me off guard and I fell into the pool.
I thrashed in the water awkwardly. I knew how to swim so I surfaced quickly, but I was further from the edge than I thought.
I put my feet down to find footing and slipped under the water. I couldn't help, but freak out, flash backs of our last family vacation came back.
Me being swept under the ocean waves, not being able to find footing. I was drowning and couldn't help myself and it was happening again. Clorine filled water rushed down my throat and into my nose. I felt my already bad lungs trying to help me, but failing.
I felt someone grab me around my waist and tug me through the water. I felt several other pairs of hands pull me from the pool and lay me onto the hard concrete.
It was all a daze, voices buzzing around me.
I felt myself drift out of consciousness.
It felt like hours later, but I felt someone pushing into my chest and blowing air into my lungs.
I gasped and spit water up, again and again. My throat burned front the chlorine and I could feel hot tears running down my cheeks.
A pair of arms lifted me off the ground and someone draped a towel around us.
I was carried upstairs and sat onto my bathroom counter.
I looked up to see Blake standing in front of me.
"Hunter will be up here soon. Don't worry."

"I-I-uhm, th-tha-thank you."

"Don't worry about it, never thought I'd ever have to use the CPR training i got." I saw Blake smile shyly.
That when I noticed he was soaking wet, shirtless and in a pair of dark jeans.
He honestly looked adorable with his hair a mess.
I shook my head, I was so not letting myself think that.

"I gotta go because I'm freezing, but Hinter will be here any second. He ran down stairs to grab your phones to call his mom and yours." I saw him smile shyly at me before turning to leave.

"Hey, Blake!"

     "Yea Will?"

"Thanks for not letting me drown myself." I smiled at him lacing my words with a little sarcasm to lighten the mood.

"Anytime Willow, anytime." He gave me a quick smile and walked out of my bathroom.
I sat on the sink, shivering and waiting for Hunter.
I waited and waited for what seemed like hours.
I got up and walked into my bedroom. The clock on my bedside table read 9:48.
Barely anytime had passed. I sat in the edge of my bed, just as Hunter walked in.
He smiled at me and instantly I felt better.

"Willow, you feel better? I talked to our parents. Your mom said she wishes she was here and that she loves you and mine said "Jesus Christ Hunter are you boys trying to kill the poor girl, freaking call a doctor now." But I thought I'd leave calling a doctor up to you." he sat down beside me and wrapped his arm around my wait pulling me closer.

"I'm fine, but thanks.."

I leaned into him, I felt a lot calmer being close to Hunter.
After several minutes, I felt him shiver.

"Do you wanna stay here tonight? You don't have to..but I'd feel a lot better."

"Yea-" he was cut off by a loud yawn."that'd be great."
He smiled at me and leaned back onto my bed. He wiggled up and put his head upon one of the many pillows covering my bed and pulled several covers over him.
I got up and climbed under the covers with him, he quickly wrapped his arm around me pulling me closer.
As I was about to drift to sleep I heard him say "Sleep tight babe, you'll need your rest to meet all our supporters tomorrow."
I snuggled into his chest and let exhaustion pull me under while I smiled thinking about how he called me babe.
