Chapter 14: More People?

When i got down stairs, Lapis was already eating her food. Surprisingly my kitchen was spotless. The dishes were washed and the emty bowls of crisps and popcorn from last night were washed.

"I hope you don't mind that I cleaned up. Oh, and I hope you like bacon and eggs." She said while pointing to a plate with food on it. I sat down next to her and began to eat.

Oh wow, this is soooo good! Much better than my burnt toast.

"Wow Lapis, this is really good!"

"It's just bacon and eggs."

"Yeah... But I can't cook. The only thing I've actually cooked was a burnt toast."

"Oh? When what do you eat when your parents are out of town?"

"Just some microwave dinners, junk food and some fruit." She giggled.

"Man you really don't cook do you."

"Nope." I said smiling, which I didn't know why. I was about to ask her what she would like to do, but I remembered what happened last night.

"Oh, Lapis, that reminds me.... What did you dream about last night?" She stopped chewing her food and froze.

Oh crap... Maybe it's personal...

"I would perfer not to tell." She swallowed and looked down at her empty plate.

"Okay, I understand." I said. "Hey what do you want to do today?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"How about I ask my friends to come over. That's if you don't mind. You can get to know them. Oh, maybe I can invite Steven, and Connie. Maybe Jamie, Ruby and Sapphire might like to come too." Lapis went on and on, about all these people. I would say no because I don't know them, but then Lapis would be upset.

Ah jeez, I'm going to HAVE to say yes now...

"Okay, as long as they're trustworthy and leave by 7PM, then that's fine."

"Okay, but do I have to go before 7?" She said giving me puppy eyes.

God, she looks adorable...

"Uhh... I don't really mind... You can stay another day If you'd like." I was blushing.

"Sure, I'd just have to contact my mother. But I won't be able to stay on Sunday to Monday, I have a shit ton of homework to do."

"Understandable." I said.

"Okay, let me text my friends to see if they'd like to come over, hmm, I'd have to send them your address too..." Lapis kept talking while I was busy thinking.

Hopefully I'll make some friends...
