Chapter 22: School

Lapis' P.O.V
*5 days later*

After me and Peridot had fallen asleep after the date nothing much happened. Peridot was extremely quiet which kind of started to scare me.

Today was finally the last day of school before the summer holidays. And I for one was excited. Me and Peridot could spend more time together.

I finished collecting my books from my locker and made my way to first period.

*TimeSkip*

I was currently staring at the clock. A few more minutes and school is over for the summer.

Tick...tick...tick

Not paying attention to the teacher, I continued to have a staring contest with the clock.

The school bell rang and the class cheered with excitement. I leaped out of my seat and gathered my belongings before leaving.

On my way out of the school I could see Peridot and Amethyst talking. I walked up to them suddenly interested in what they were chatting about.

"Oh hey Lapis, I was just talking to Peridot here and I thought I'll ask you too." Amethyst said sith a smile. "Me, Pearl, Garnet and Steven are going camping. We were wondering if you'd both like to join us?"

I looked over at Peridot. It would be fun camping with my friends and spending a lot more time with my girlfriend soooo...

"How long will it be?" Asked Peridot.

"Pffffsh. About a week or so. I think..."

"Okay I'm in." I said with a huge smile on my face. Peridot took a step back.

"I think i'll step this one out." I frowned. "The outdoors aren't really my thing..."

"Aww come on Peri~ It'll be fun~" I watched as Peridot blushed at my flirty tone of voice.

"F-fine!"

"Yayy!" I jumped over at Peridot and hugged her tight.

"Okay then. It's settled. We'll be leaving on Sunday, Pearl will text you both the rest of the details. See you then." Amethyst waved us off before leaving.

"I'll see you then~" I planted a kiss on Peridots cheek before leaving to head home. Leaving Peridot lost for words.
