Peridot's P.O.V
I sat on the cliffs edge just like yesterday. Except I was alone. The others were packing up the tents while I sat depressingly by the cliff. My feet hung loosely and I stared at the drop below. No. I wasn't going to commit suicide. I was actually upset because my mother called yesterday.
Flashback: yesterday after the singing
It was just after the singing when my mother called me. I was so happy that I picked up the phone in a hurry, greeting the caller with a joyful hello.
"Peridot?" Called my mother.
"Oh! Hey mom, everything okay?" I asked. I got up from my spot and moved towards the camp ground and away from the others.
"Well I have something to tell you sweetie." My heart sank. "You see we're moving out of beach city." She said as if it didn't mean anything. I teared up.
"No! We can't! We just got here, a-and I made lots of new friends- we can't just-" My mother cut me off.
"When you come back tomorrow we're leaving in the afternoon. We've packed all your stuff so don't worry." I felt like crying but nothing happened. Instead I had a heart throbbing pain in my chest, and a lump in my throat...
End of Flashback;
I haven't told the others yet. I was afraid. I was more concerned about Lapis though. My girlfriend, my lover. I was terrified on what she was going to say or do.
I hope she doesn't break up with me. Repeated that line over and over in my mind.
I heard footsteps come towards me. It was Steven.
"Hey Peridot." He said cheerfully.
"H-hey Steven.." I said as my breath hitched from crying.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"No... I have something to tell you all..."
After I told everyone that I was moving they all seemed so upset. They hugged me and tears were shred. Lapis was the saddest though. She wouldn't stop crying. I comforted her until she stopped. I held her in my arms possible for the last time...
*Timeskip*
It was time to go now. We had already left the camping site and the truck was now parked outside my house. We all got out. Standing in silence.
Lapis turned to me. "We're still seeing right though?" She asked with hope.
"Of course! I love you... Unless you want to break up..." I spoke gazing down at my feet.
"No, I want to be with you forever." She smiled at me.
"Don't worry we can Skype and talk via Internet. And when I'm old enough we can visit eachother and hopefully live together." I blushed at the thought.
"Sounds great." I smiled and hugged her tight. The others awwed and laughed.
My parents car was parked infront of the truck. They were already there waiting for me. I kissed Lapis on the lips, not caring if my parents saw or not. We parted and said our goodbyes. I got in the car and looked out the window.
"Goodbye Peridot!" They said. "We'll miss you." They repeated. I smiled, a tear escaping my eye.
"I love you guys." I shouted before the car drove off. My phone buzzed instantly.
Lapis: See you soon you dork.
Me: you too you clod <3
