"Shit," Louis mutter putting his phone back in his pocket.
"What's up?" Liam asked.
"That was Ellie's school, she's sick and needs to go home but I can't leave I've got that meeting with management. They'd kill me if I left."
"I'll go get her," Niall spoke up.
"Really?"
"Yeah, I've already had my meeting they won't care if I leave."
"I can go too. I've got no reason to say," Harry added.
"You two are life savers. Thank you so much!" Louis sighed with relief.
"No worries mate, we'll take care of her," Niall smiled. Niall and Harry got up and left the studio. Harry went off to the store to get some medicine and Niall drove to the school to get Ellie. He walked into the office and put to the secretary behind the desk. "Hi, I'm here for Ellie Tomlinson."
"She's next door in the nurse's office. Are you her father?"
"No, I'm her uncle. Her dad is stuck at work," Niall explained.
"Alright no problem. She's all set."
"Thank you so much." Niall walked next door and found Ellie laying in the nurse's office. She looked up at him when he came in.
"Uncle Niall? What are you doing here?"
"I'm here for you sweetheart. Your dad is stuck at the studio. Let's get you home alright?" Ellie nodded and stood up slowly. He led her to the car and started it up. "You alright sweetie?" Niall asked looking over at the thirteen year old.
"My belly hurts," she whimpered.
"Uncle Harry will have some medicine for you. Your dad sent him to get something." She nodded and put her head on the window. Niall pulled into Louis's driveway and saw Harry's car was already there. He helped Ellie out of the car and into the house. Harry was rustling through the bag he left on the counter.
"Hey darling," Harry said softly. "How you feeling?"
"Not good," Ellie mumbled.
"Go lay down, I'll bring you some medicine." She nodded and walked slowly into the living room with her arm wrapped around her stomach.
"Poor kid," Niall sighed.
"She never acts like this she really must not feel well," Harry added. He opened the bottle of medicine and poured it into the cap. Niall grabbed a sleeve of crackers to try to eat and both boys brought them into Ellie. "Here kiddo." Harry handed her the medicine and Ellie drank it happily.
"Try to eat a few of these. Might help settle your stomach," Niall told her handing her the crackers.
"Thanks you," she squeaked out.
"You cold?" Harry asked noticing the small girl shivering. She nodded. Harry grabbed a blanket and threw it over her.
"Thanks Uncle Harry," She sighed. She took a few crackers out and ate them. "Can we watch a movie?" She asked softly.
"Sure love, what would you like to watch?" Niall asked.
"Toy Story." Niall nodded and got put and put the movie on.
"Why don't you try to sleep a bit darling? Uncle Niall and I aren't going anywhere." Ellie nodded and cuddled into her blankets. About half way through the movie she as sound asleep. Louis had texted Niall to make sure she was ok.
Tommo: How is she doing?
Niall: She's sleeping now. She really isn't feeling well.
Tommo: I'll be home in a few hours. Management is pissing me off.
Niall: Don't worry about it we've got it.
Tommo: I may send Liam over later so you two can go home and be with your own kids.
Niall: Whatever you need Lou.
Tommo: You're the best.
Niall: Well no shit.
Tommo: Talk to you later.
Niall: Will do buddy don't kill management.
Tommo: No promises.
Niall chuckled to himself and put his phone away. He looked over at Harry who was checking his own phone.
"Haz you don't have to stay if you need to go. Do you need to get the kids?"
"Yeah I should probably head out. You sure you're alright?"
"Oh yeah, I've got her. Louis just said he was going to send Liam over in a bit. He's still stuck there." Harry rolled his eyes.
"Some things never change." Niall laughed a little.
"It's true. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Alright see ya Nialler." Harry got up quietly and left to go get his own kids. Niall sat back and looked over at Ellie. She was still sleeping back she looked like she was in pain.
"Poor thing," he whispered to himself. He sat there quietly for a while longer before Ellie started to whimper. He looked up and she had opened her eyes and it was clear she was uncomfortable.
"Uncle Niall," she whimpered.
"What is it sweetie? You ok?"
"I don't feel too good." She sat up wrapping her arm around her stomach. Niall got up quickly and sat beside her.
"Do you think you going to throw up?" he asked softly. She hiccupped and nodded. "Alright darling, come with me." Niall gently guided her into the bathroom and knelt down behind her. He pulled back her hair as she gagged over the bowl.
"I don't like this," she cried.
"I know darling. It's alright," Niall reassured her. She gagged again whimpering afterwards. "You're alright darling it's ok." She gagged one last time before she began heaving into the bowl. "There you go sweetie you're doing great." Niall sat with her until she was done. He flushed the toilet and helped her stand and bush her teeth to get rid of the horrid taste. "Feel better love?" She nodded. He led her back to the couch where she laid down and Niall covered her with the blanket. Not long after that Niall heard the front door open. Louis walked in quickly with his oldest son Keaton.
"Hey," Louis sighed.
"Hey I thought you were sending Liam over."
"They let me out. How is she?"
"She just threw up a little bit ago. She's alright now." Louis knelt down next to his daughter and pushed the hair out of her face.
"Hi daddy," she smiled.
"Hey baby. I'm sorry you don't feel well. I wish I could've gotten you from school but I was stuck at work."
"It's ok. Uncle Niall took care of me." Louis looked up at him and silently said Thank you. Niall smiled and nodded.
"Feel better Ellie. I'll see you tomorrow Tommo."
"Bright and early." Niall smiled and left. Louis stayed with the kids taking care of Ellie for the rest of the night.
