This was a unique request I got. I haven't done one with kids in a long time so it was kind of fun to switch things up a little bit. I like how it turned out so I hope you guys enjoy it too.
Harry's alarm went off like it did every morning. He rolled over turning it off before looking over at his husband. He smiled seeing Niall still laying there with his eyes close. Harry kissed his cheek causing Niall to smile before opening his eyes.
"Morning love," Harry smiled.
"Morning," Niall relied.
"Do you want wake up duty or breakfast duty?" Harry asked.
"I'll wake the kids today," Niall answered. Niall really wasn't feeling up for making breakfast. In fact, he wasn't up for breakfast at all. He wasn't the slightest bit hungry.
"Sounds perfect," Harry smiled kissing Niall's cheek again. Both boys got up and dressed. Harry when to the kitchen to start on breakfast while Niall went to wake their two young children. He started with their youngest, a sweet little girl named Jenna who was 5 and just starting kindergarten. He walked into her room to wake her.
"Jenna, wake up princess," Niall said softly. Jenna opened her big blue eyes and smiled up at her dad.
"Morning daddy," she smiled.
"Good morning sweet girl. Papa is making breakfast. I'll go wake your brother and I'll come back and help you get ready ok?"
"I can get ready myself daddy," she told him getting out of bed. Niall chuckled Jenna was always very independent.
"Ok sweetie. I'll come check on you." Jenna nodded only half listening to Niall. Niall left her room before going next door to Oliver's room. Niall and Harry had adopted both children four years ago. Oliver and Jenna were biologically siblings and the two boys couldn't bare to separate them. Niall went into Oliver's room where to his surprise he was still sound asleep. "Ollie, wake up bud," Niall called walking up to Oliver's bed. He groaned a little and opened his eyes.
"I'm still sleepy daddy," the seven year old told him.
"You don't normally sleep in Ollie," Niall told him sitting down on his bed. "You feeling ok buddy?" Oliver shrugged.
"I'm just tired," he said again, rubbing his eyes.
"Papa is making breakfast, you'll wake up a bit when you have some food in your belly." Oliver nodded slowly making his way out of bed. "Get dressed then come get some food," Niall told him ruffling his son's hair. Oliver smiled a little.
"Ok dad," Oliver told him. Niall stood up and left his son's room. He went back to Jenna's room checking in on her.
"How you doing princess?" Niall asked looking in on his daughter. She smiled happily before twirling around showing Niall that she had gotten herself dressed. "You really didn't need my help," Niall chuckled. "Let's go see papa." Jenna giggled running up to her dad where he picked her up and carried her down the stairs. He put her down when they reached the kitchen where she ran up to Harry.
"Good morning sweetie," Harry smiled kneeling down to kiss his daughter.
"I'm hungry papa," she told him.
