6, second task

My eyes widened slightly at his comment. I really didn't want to be stuck in here with Malfoy. His breath fanning over my face. I felt like I was paralysed and couldn't do anything. Draco's hands running through my hair and then down meeting around my waist.

"Let me go Draco" I whispered but at the same time I didn't want him to.

"Don't be silly Selena, we both know this is meant to be," he replied smiling.

He looks down at my lips and I know exactly what he's thinking. At least I think I do. But to my surprise instead of trying to kiss me Draco looked back up into my eyes. Somehow Draco's normally grey eyes weren't the same shade of grey they used to be. Now they were lighter and shiny as if they held a treasured secrets trying to break out. Draco slowly opened his mouth as if he was going to say something but then closed it again looking down at the ground. Once he looked up into my eyes again, someone opened the door.

Harry Potter.

Seeing Harry made me realise how absurd the situation was. I was standing in a broom closet hugging Draco Malfoy. Draco was staring at Harry because he had interrupted our moment. I realised my grip around Malfoy and he did the same to me. I quickly walked out and took ahold of Harry's hand and we quickly walked away. I didn't want the two of them to start a fight. Malfoy glared at Harry and then just stared at me beckoning me to come back to him. But I turned my gaze to Harry who now was leading me out of the corridor and outside. Harry and I started walking down to the Black Lake.

"So, what were you guys doing?" Harry asked awkwardly.

"Nothing he trapped me in there and tried to kiss me, I think." I replied and looked down confused at the ground. I know that's not was Malfoy's intentions was but I feel like it was better to say that then what actually was happening because I honestly don't know.

"Oh so did I interrupt something?" Harry asked wiggeling his brows jokingly.

"Oh definitely not! You actually saved me!" I smiled at Harry, his cheeks slowly going red.

We made it to the black lake and sat down under a tree. We were pretty close to each other but I don't think we minded.

"The fact is I haven't had my first kiss yet and I just don't want it to be with Malfoy." I explained not making eye contact with him.

I then turned my gaze to Harry and he turned his head towards me at the same time. We both smiled and I could feel my cheeks starting to heat up a bit at my confession. Harry was staring straight into my eyes. His hand put a string of hair on its place behind my ear and then he slowly started to lean in. This is it, he's going to kiss me. But do o want to kiss Harry? Before I could overthink what was happening or do anything, I found myself leaning in as well and our lips met. I could feel the sparks between us and our kiss was short but passionate. After awhile we both pulled away and Harry was blushing.

"I'm sorry," he whispered looking down embarrassed.

"It's okay, I really liked it." I whispered back. Which seemed to make him happier. We sat there in silence for awhile

"When's the next task?" I asked.

"Tomorrow."

"Are you nervous?"

Harry nodded. I felt so bad for him. And then the silence fell upon us again and the only thing we could hear was each other's breath and the birds flying over the lake.

"I have to go," I said after awhile. Harry nodded and I walked away.

My feelings are all jumbled up. I'm getting married to Malfoy but I just kissed Harry but I probably would've kissed Draco if Harry wouldn't have come. But I don't have feeling for any of them. Oh gosh. What if Malfoy finds out. Who knows what he'll to to Harry. Or, what he'll do to me

The next day was the second task. We all walked down to the Black Lake after lunch. I walked with Isaac as Hermione and Ron were nowhere to be found. Odd. Rae came and joined us and so did a pair of twins. Fred and George. Fred started blushing at the mention of my sister and looked down at his own feet. So it's Fred who likes Rae. He looked like he wanted to speak to her.

I nudged Rae and pointed towards the twins. She also blushed. I laughed and kept walking with Isaac.

We found somewhere to stand and watch what was happening. I saw Harry and waved and gave him thumbs up. That seemed to calm him down a bit. He looks very nervous.

It looks like the contests were going to dive into the water to find some treasure, I think. I wonder what the treasure is.

After some time Fleur had backed out. But I don't blame her who knows what creatures down there. After some time Krum came up with, Hermione? Oh my god. So the treasure was people. What's going to happen to Fleur's treasure then if she couldn't finish the task?

Then Cedric came up with Cho Chang, a Ravenclaw and a friend of Rae's.

Times up any minute now and Harry still hasn't come up yet. I turned around and leaned my back against the railing. What if the doesn't make it on time, then what will happen? People suddenly started clapping and I quickly turned around almost ticking me a whiplash. Harry was back. With Ron and a little girl. I hugged Isaac out of joy. And then I ran down to Harry and gave him a big hug as well.

"Good job, Harry! You did amazing!" I smiled.

He thanked me and Hermione came and gave him a towel. Me and Hermione sat there rubbing our hand up and down his arms tying to warm him up. The water must be freezing. It was time to announce the winners. Harry came in second place after Cedric. I was so proud of him and clapped my hands for our brace friend.

The next morning all fourth years and up gathered together. Professor McGanagall told us about a Yule ball. Later on McGonagall called Ron up to do a demonstration and everyone started laughing. Poor Ronnie. Fred and George were making fun of him and I knew that they'll never let him live this down.

I could see Draco eyeing me from across the room but I ignored him.

"Okay now everyone find a partner and dance!" McGonagall exclaimed.
Darn it. I'm a pretty good dancer but I just don't want to dance with anyone I bet no one here is an especially good dancer.

Malfoy walked up to me and grabbed my hand.

"Well since you'll be Mrs Malfoy I think it's only right that you'll dance with me." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes and put my hand in his. We started dancing and I'm not going to lie. Malfoy is a pretty good dancer.

Later that night when I got inside my dormitory I found a note on my bed. It was from my mum. Oh how I missed her.

Dear Selena Primrose,

As you know there's going to be a Yule Ball at Hogwarts. You must attend it of course. Rae, Jaxon and Isaac will also be there.
Now, because you're engaged with Draco you must attend with him. Narcissa has sent him a letter so you must be matching and look like a proper couple.

We miss you very much,
Love Mum.

I hate my life.
