"Don't go out alone," you mimicked Scott's voice to yourself as you trudged through the woods. "It's too dangerous for someone like you."

Your older brother Scott was always overprotective of you. For some reason, he thought that you walking through the woods to get to a party late on a Friday night should be prime time for the Dread Doctors to capture you and turn you into a Chimera.

A rustling noise from behind forced you to turn around. You couldn't see anything in its general direction, so you walked slowly over.

"Scott?" You asked. "Stiles? Kira? Who's there?"

No answer came but another rustle. You peered through the trees, seeing nothing but black.

Out of no where, another noise sounded, that of a human sounding scream. It leaped out at you, throwing you to the ground. You screeched in terror as the wendigo crawled over you.

"Help! Scott!" You screamed desperately, trying to move back.

The wendigo moved it's head up in a terrifying motion, and prepared to lunge at you. You screamed as it's teeth neared your neck, and you continued screaming as something knocked the wendigo off of you.

It was hard to see in the dark, but you could make out two figures. One was the wendigo, and the other was too hard to see. It was dark, and blended into the night.

The dark creature slashed the wendigo across the face, and it hissed in pain. The creature then hit the wendigo over the head, and it fell limp to the ground.

You breathed heavily from the ground, still unable to get a good look at your savior. Slowly, it walked over to you, with its head to the ground.

The sleek, black wolf sat down next to you, entrancing you with its beauty. Your heart stopped when you looked into its magnificent blue eyes and realized who it was.

"Derek?" You asked.

Derek transformed back into his human form, and stared at you. "[Y/N]," he said.

"What are you doing here? When did you get back?" You asked, jumping to your feet. He did the same.

"I was on my way back into town. I could smell your fear," he explained.

"Where you searching for my scent or did you just happen to get a whiff?"

"Wouldn't you like to know," he smirked.

You looked up and him and smiled, letting a brief break in conversation in before you spoke again. "I can't believe you're back."

"You didn't think I'd stay away forever, did you?" He asked. "I missed you too much."

"I missed you too," you added. "And so did everyone else."

"Look, I'm sorry to have left things the way they were between us," he said. "I would have stayed if I could."

"You don't have to explain yourself," you told him. "I'm just glad to have you back."

You walked into his arms, and held him in a tight hug. You remembered Derek leaving; you didn't think he would ever come back. He told you he loved you the day before he went away, and then he didn't even bother to tell you he was leaving.

"You never said goodbye," you said tearfully.

"I know," Derek said, holding you close to his heart.

"I love you too, Derek," you said. "And I would have told you if you'd given me the chance."

Derek kissed the top of your head, and you stepped out of his embrace.

"Let's get you home," he said, draping his arm over your shoulders.
