QOTD: Opinion in scary movies?
AOTD: No thank you.

"I can't believe they're actually showing Poltergeist in theatres," Scott said. "And I can't believe you're actually into scary movies."

"Me? I love scary movies," you said nervously.

There was nothing in the world you hated more than scary movies, but Scott seemed to think that your "interest" in them was your best quality. You told him one small lie, and somehow it spiralled into you going to one of the scariest movies of all time.

"Where do you want to sit?" Scott asked.

"The back is good."

No one could see you flinch from the back.

You and Scott climbed to the top of the stairs, and the advertisements started to play. Scott sat down with a tub of popcorn on his lap.

"I love this movie," Scott said.

He had seen it a million times, so when he heard they were going to be playing it in theatres, of course he would want to see it on the big screen. You had never seen it. You tried once, but had to stop at the previews.

Scott grabbed your hand as the movie started, making you more comfortable. It wasn't as bad as you'd thought. The movie started out nicely, a happy family in a nice neighborhood. Just your movie style.

You started to get a little antsy when the girl started to fixate on the television. Your eyes were glued to the screen when a hand came out of the TV.

"AAAHHH!" You screamed. The entire theatre turned around.

"You okay?" Scott whispered.

"That was scary," you told him.

"I thought you liked scary movies."

Someone shushed him, and you turned your attention back to the movie, which became more and more terrifying as time went on. You let out a sigh of relief when the film went back to daytime, and the ghostly events seemed miniscule. Of course, this didn't last long. Your eyes widened as a tree tried to grab a boy out of the house, and then the little girl was sucked through the closet.

"OH SHIT!" You yelled.

"Shh!" Everyone said.

Scott tightened his grip on your hand, and you tried to relax, but the next thing you knew, the little boy was being attacked by a freaking clown doll.

"HOLY MOTHERFU-"

Scott slammed his hand over your mouth, and every person in the threatre turned to glare.

"Maybe we should go," Scott said.

"No, you want to stay," you whispered.

"Not anymore," he said as some kid started throwing popcorn at him.

You and Scott left the theatre in silence, got into the car in silence, and drove home in silence. You didn't know if he was mad at you. He wouldn't speak.

"I'm sorry," you said. "This may surprise you but I don't actually like horror movies."

"Yeah," he said, parking in your driveway. "I figured."

"It's just that you like them so much, and when we first started dating I thought it would impress you and I wanted to come clean but too much time had passed and I didn't know what to do."

"[Y/N], it's okay. I don't care if you like horror movies. I like you way more than I like Poltergeist."

"Really?"

"Yeah, and it's actually more entertaining to watch you yelling curse words in public than it is to watch the movie."

"I love you," you laughed, kissing him on the cheek.

"I love you too, and tomorrow I'm going to show you The Exorcist. Just to see your reaction."
