Stiles stumbled through the doors of the hospital with Kasey in his arms, he nearly tripped and fell flat on his face only managing to catch himself by gripping the edge of the door tightly. His breathing was erratic as his eyes frantically searched the waiting room, his father was standing there looking through the glass windows of the room in which Lydia was in. He quickly made his way towards his dad, whom upon seeing him went off the rails.

"Where the hell have you been, Stiles?! Oh god- what happened to Kasey?"

His eyes didn't leave Kasey as his father started yelling for help, she was the only thing that he was worried about. The one girl that he has spent his entire life head over heels for is laying in his arms, hurt. He wants to pay attention to his dad, but he isn't the best at multi-tasking so his mind settles on Kasey instead.

"My jeep broke down... my jeep." He exhaled as the reality of the situation finally was hitting him straight in the gut, knocking the wind fully out of him. She could die, and it would be his fault. Two nurses rushed over to Stiles and Kasey, they quickly grabbed her and laid her down on a stretcher- sliding her down the hall while yelling at doctors to meet them in the examing room.

Sheriff Stilinski continued to yell at his son, he had no idea that Stiles wasn't retaining a single word he was saying. He wasn't what Stiles was focusing on at the moment, nor would he peel his attention away from Kasey long enough to even try to focus on his dad. He has entirely too many thoughts going through his mind right now, all of which are starting to take a toll on him.

"Is she gonna be okay?" Stiles choked out, finally letting the emotions of the night pour out of him. He collapsed into his fathers chest, letting every ounce of himself unravel in the embrace of his father. He was suddenly taken back to the day his mom passed, the overwhelming feeling of a panic attack was creeping into his chest and there was nothing he could do to fight it off. He was losing her too, just like he lost his mom. He can't handle losing someone else he loves, he physically won't be able to go through it.

His dad quickly grabbed his son, holding him tightly with wide eyes. Stiles manages to keep himself together around his father, very rarely does he ever see him break like this. And right now, he is breaking. Shattering, even. He's slipping and there isn't a thing anyone can do to help him. The Sheriff can feel his own eyes pricking with tears at just the sight of his son in such a distressed state. Guilt washed over him for the amount of screaming he had done, he was just worried and he has a terrible way of expressing that. Stiles knew that though, and he wasn't upset at his dad, that's not why he's crying at all.

Crying. No, now it's sobbing. He can't stop himself as he slowly sinks towards the tiled floor of the waiting room, bringing his father down with him. He can't breathe and he's drowning in emotion and guilt. The feeling of being completely and utterly useless is wrapping itself around his airways, preventing him from sucking in the vital air his lungs need. It's all starting to fade from him now, all of the pain. He can't breathe. His eyes are watering, and he vaguely recalls something he read online about drowning and not being able to breathe. Something about it being peaceful when you finally take that last breath, letting everything work itself out...

"Stiles! Come on, you're alright. She's okay, Kasey is okay." His father's voice is moving through his ears and to his brain, at the sound of her name he sucks in a breath. The shock of his father even mentioning her, bringing him back. He can't stop sucking in breaths now, he is breathingly quickly as his father stands him up, straightening his shoulders and looking directly into his son's eyes.

Stiles blinked several times trying to clear his vision so he could see his father standing before him, "You're not gonna lose her, I promise."
