6: Don't Look At Me Like That

I walked with Penelope around the mall. Someone please just get me a shovel or something because this girl was about to feel my wrath soon.

I can't believe she made me choose. Like I'm the expert shopper. I mean, I shop and all but I see things and I try them on. That's when I decide which ones I want.

Yet, she made me choose. I really feel like hitting her in the face. Which is rude, I know but still, people get on your nerves sometimes.

I swear, I feel like hitting her.

She made me choose between a freaking boots with heels or high heels. I'm an expert at getting things for myself but when you see heels that size of freaking Empire State Building, you did not just go that far!

Like REALLY! Doesn't she know that I have a file against heels. Didn't she not remember that time I was at Briana's wedding when my mom forced me to wear heels over there and when it came to dance, SOMEONE had to drop water or whatever they were drinking on the floor and I ended up slipping! Oh, to make matters more lovelier, I also ended tripping and eating crap. Yeah, thank you so much, JENNIE! Thank you for trying to make MOM to make me wear heels because apparently, heels had to be WORN at the wedding.

Next time I see Jennie, I'm giving her a nose bleed.

So then again, I watched Penelope switch her head back and forth to the sweater she was holding (which was really cute, it was cream with pearls) and a black cotton wool shirt with golden around the neck and arm wrists (not bad for $15.99!) at Macy's.

"Which one?" Penelope said, shoving the items nearly in my face.

I felt my temper rising but I cooled down. "It's up to you, Penny. You decide. Why don't you try them on?"

Penelope shook her head. "Oh, if I do that, it'll take more time and I'll never make it to the sale at Old Navy.

I rolled my eyes. "Pen, the sale at Old Navy is still going to be there. It's right across the store anyway. Just put it on and see."

Penelope sighed and rushed to the dressing room.

I searched for a few clothes myself.

I found a silver dress hanging in the clearance sale. It was really pretty with silver sequins and a wrap on one shoulder.

I decided to go try it on. I put it on and was I amazed. I couldn't believe how well fit the dress looked on me. Well, ok, technically, it looked good but I never knew it was that good.

I mean, I wear dresses to formal stuff and I admit, I do sometimes wear other causals but not like all the time. It also looked really cool because I swept my hear to the side and I felt like one of those models posing for dresses. Or walking the red carpet.

I giggled and went out. "Hey, Pen. Look at this dress."

Suddenly I bumped into this guy who was hollering, "For the last time, if I have to be the runner to give you clothes, I'm making George do it!"

 "Whoops, sorry," I said.

 "That's...oooookkkk...." the guy hummed.

I looked at him. He had dark brown hair swepted back and sort of curly. He had on a black shirt with khakis. In his arms were girl clothing.

I could tell his gaze was on the dress. Either a) it rocked or b) pick another one honey.

"Um, shopping for your girlfriend?" I asked, glancing at the clothes just to let the guy know that a) he had a girlfriend and b) he better watch it.

"Um, it's for my sister," the guy said. "She...she's making me go get her different sizes and well, it's embarrassing enough that I'm the one running back and forth to go get them."

I nodded. "I know how you feel." Yeah. Penelope.

"That dress...um....it looks nice on you," the guy said.

 "Thanks," I said.

"I think a diamond necklace would rock it," the guy continued.

"Really? Or is it too shiny?"

 "No, too shiny."

 "Wuh? What's up, Sel?"

Penelope came out with the white sweater. "Hey, that's not a bad dress and....um...what are you doing in the ladies dressing room?"

The guy, realizing that he was in woman's dressing room, immediately shook himself and said, "Oh, my sister. I'm trying to stay out of her way but then she's like, get me the size 6!"

"Oh, you poor thing," Penelope said. Um, Penelope, you should know this stuff. Remember me? Yeah, that's what I thought.

"I don't know where Harry is," the guy said. "That's her boyfriend. He's like on a family trip or something."

"Well, I hope your sister knows that she better get her girlfriends for back up because men don't know everything women know about fashion," Penelope said.

"Yeah," the guy said, laughing. "I better go. Um, just in case the workers catch me."

He was about to head out but then he turned around. "Oh, watch me on YouTube as Chim."

I gapped. "Wait, you're Chim? As in Chimneyswift11?"

"Yep," Chim said. "Why? You watch me?"

"Yeah, you're cool." And I had a crush on you.

"Well, continue to watch me. Or do you prefer meeting me sometime?"

 Heck yeah!

So I gave him my Minecraft name and phone number.

"All right, see you around, Sel," Chim said. "By the way, that dress looks fabulous on you, darling!" This was said in a fashion guy's accent.

 I smiled and waved.

"Somebody's liking somebody," Penelope giggled, nudging me.

 "Oh, shut up!"

****

 Gotta love Chim! :)
