The Leader threw down the scalpel on the ground. There was a cut on her arm a few inches long. Even though she had been unconscious while he had made various cuts, he still felt uneasy about doing it to her. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that she was an abomination of a creature, but it was obvious she still felt pain. But he had to continue to do this every minute or so - he had already been doing it for hours upon hours.

"I think it's time that we take a break," he mumbled to himself, knowing she couldn't hear. He grabbed the pen and notepad off the ground and wrote down his observations and side effects the drugs were having, how it affected her healing process, or other factors such as that that vampires had.

Right now, her skin was a sickly white and sweat coated her body. Her breathing was un-naturally raspy and uneven. The drug was slowing down her healing abilities, despite it having no effect on vampires. To humans though, it was often used to prolong healing. It was extremely hard to buy, but obtainable nonetheless.

His eyes drifted to her necklace. He had allowed her to keep it on if only to disgust himself. The thought of a vampire giving something like that to a human was almost barbaric.

The Leader began to fidget with the dog tags around his neck once again. He wondered if he could feel pain while she was drugged. He had never allowed her to stay awake long enough to find out, he didn't particularly want to find out. This was a job, nothing more and nothing less. After the uprising of the vampires, this was all he could think of to do, even though he was a Lord and didn't even have to work, he quickly found he needed to. He had to do something, anything, and this was the only thing he knew how to do.

Rose's body twitched and she whimpered.

He wondered again if it was due to the drugs or because she was having a nightmare. Naturally, he assumed both.

"What did you honestly think was going to happen?" he murmured to her. "A human in love with a vampire and the vampire turns her into one. You're a human – a Pet. You're nothing more than that. You were stupid to think that you could be anything more," he said in a calm voice.

Rose murmured as her body began to shift. Her eyes drowsily opened and she began to take in her surroundings. Before she could get any semblances of her whereabouts or what had happened to her while unconscious, he put the needle in her arm and injected the fluid.

She mumbled and moved more, straining her weak muscles against the restraints. However, within a matter of seconds, she slipped back into the terrifying darkness where all her demons lived, waiting for her yet again.

Henry still laid unconscious on the floor, the electronic bullet still stuck to his chest. Slowly, his eyes opened. A black haze surrounded his eyesight, and his body tingled in pain.

Shock set in all a sudden and he forced his pain aside as everything came crashing down on him. Though he hadn't seen them take Rose, he knew they had. Frantically, he stood up and ran to the garage. He got into a car and drove off. He didn't know how, but he was going to get her back.
