How I came out to some of my friends:

First I came out to my friend Natasha. She had recently came out as gender fluid so I felt as if I could trust her.Our conversation basically went:

Me: I'm bisexual
Her: Ok, Cool. So you like girls and guys?
Me: yeah.
Her: that's great!

She's a very good friend. I then asked her if I should come out to one of my guy friends and she said she thought he would be supportive. So I asked him to play this game, where we shared secrets. He shared his secret and then I said:

Me: my secret is...
Him: yes?
Me: I'm bisexual
Him: OMG, really? That's cool. OMG, am I the first person you've told?
Me: I've told Natasha.
Him: Oh, I get it because of her coming out and stuff.
Me: yeah.
Him: I'm so proud of you!

I have very good friends. But I haven't come out to any other friends as they are not exactly supportive eg. One said "I would never bully someone for being gay but I don't think it's right." And one said "Omg no! I'm not a lesbian!" So I don't plan on telling them.

How I came out to my mum:

This was completely unintentional. Basically, I was looking at YouTube videos about bisexuals and the LGBTQ+ community and my mum checked my search history and asked why I was looking at that. I could've lied but I thought I'd tell her since I had the chance and she has always said that no matter who I like she would support me.  So I did and this is how it went:

Me: I think... I'm bisexual.
Her: *pause* really? How do you know?
Me: um... Well I find girls attractive and...
Her: *pause* so you wouldn't mind kissing a girl when you are older.
Me: no.
Her: and you wouldn't mind kissing a boy either?
Me: noHer: have you had a crush on a girl?Me: ... No
Her: there's nothing wrong with that but how do you know if you've never had a crush?
Me: well, I don't have a crush on any of my friends but I've found girls attractive and I don't mind dating one in the future.
Her: I used to think I'm bisexual too, because I found girls attractive. But then I experimented and I realized that I didn't like girls that way. I mean, I enjoyed it but it didn't feel right. I like men too much. When you are older you might kiss a girl and realize you are straight or you might realize you're gay or maybe you are bisexual. And whatever you do I will support you because there is nothing wrong with that. You're lucky, You can get it both ways. Greedy. *laughs*
Me: *silent*
Her: I'm proud of you. No matter who you love I will always love you.

It was a supper awkward conversation but I'm glad I told her. I haven't told anyone else yet and I don't know if I will. But I'm glad I came out to those people. I am not religious and so it may be easier for me. But there are still some of my family members and friends who are or will not approve. Wish me luck for the future and everyone else in the LGBTQ+ community.
