Orientation- asexualI have known I've been an asexual for almost three years now, and I knew I needed to come out to my family. I started taking a baking class or whatever you want to call it from my friend, and I learned to bake a cake. I got all the things I needed to come out, and waited for a good time to prepare everything. The time has finally came after what felt like forever. My parents were going to something for church. When they left, I got all my supplies, and made a cake that said "Asexual Cake" in the best icing writing I could do (which is just past eligible). I connected my laptop to the tv, so I could pull up anything I needed to reference to. After around two hours of them being away, my parents came home. I led them to the living room, where I had set up everything. I explained the cake to them, and then about asexuality. They had questions, some were to attempt to contradict me. I ended up pulling up around 6 websites, including AVEN, to reference to. They took it quite better than I expected, but I am still getting an occasional question from them.
