I sit on a stone beside the school river, subconsciously throwing stones into the water. I love the way the ripples break through the water, it makes me forget life, watching it over and over again.
A few moments later, I spot her walking down the stairs. As always, she is looking down and walking and I am not very sure if she spotted me.
She walks away and I stare at her retreating figure.
She is far away now. Just when I am going to take my eyes off her, she turns back. She knows I am here.
And then she does something that takes my breath away.
She smiles at me; a small smile, but it's still a smile.
And that smile warms my frozen heart.
