43.
The next Monday, I go back to school. After the breakdowns, I feel initially high for a few days before I get another breakdown and the cycle continues.
Mark is especially caring this time around, like he is scared I might lock myself again and would never come out. Even the teachers act so normal in classes, like I never disappeared for a whole week. I wonder why though.
But as usual, there are murmurs all through the school, but nothing seem to matter to me except the fact that Eira behaves like we don’t know each other at all. She can’t be the same person who made me open the door and asked me to keep the watch, until I repair it.
But soon enough, I realize that I wouldn’t have wanted to talk to her as well.
My life goes back to how it was before. Just that, searching for her is now a part of my daily routine.
