52.

I am lying on the bed, crying to myself, as the accident plays over and over in my head. We were going to Aunt Anna's house. All of us were having a family moment. Dad was singing his favourite song, mom was humming to it. Even Teddy was trying to catch the tune. I was enjoying the song too, but I didn't feel like singing.

Dad quickly passed a smile at the two of us in the backseat. It was just a single moment of distraction, but he failed to see the big truck that came our way.

It all happened in less than a second.

There was a huge noise.

Glass shards.

Blood.

Screams.

Pain.

Silence.

I wake up screaming from my bed. Too tired to take it all.

My eyes never seem to run out of tears.
