As I reach the school, there aren't many people around. I find Miss Maria easily and ask, "Ma'am, what should I do?"
"Uh, what Eira?" she asks me, lost in her work and not paying me attention.
"Ma'am, yesterday.."
A sudden realization hits her, "Oh Eira. Okay. Just hold this file and come with me," and she gives me a blue file. I start walking behind her and continue walking for a long time as the place starts getting crowded and more crowded.
I even spot Aiden in the midst, his hand tightly holding onto a little girl who is squealing happily. She must be his sister. But he doesn't look happy.
Miss Maria is not behaving like I exist. And soon enough, I am fed up. I give the file back to her and quiet rudely states, "Ma'am, I will be back soon."
I want to leave but it's not a possibility. I stand in a corner where some game is taking place. Aiden and his sister are there too.
I keep staring at his face.
He is very distracted.
