SKEET ALVAN MIJARES

I don't know how I managed to hide my feelings for her. It's been almost a month since she worked with me as my assistant. Araw-araw sinusungitan ko siya para lang maitago ang tunay kong nararamdaman para sa kanya. But at the end of the day, I always find myself loving her deeper and deeper. She's just so perfect for me kahit tatanga-tanga siya at palagi akong binibigyan ng kunsumisyon. I don't know how, when and why but I always catch myself smiling because of her stupidity.

"Sir, tulungan n'yo po ako. Ayaw ko nang pumunta ng pantry. May ipis doon."

I was startled when she suddenly barged in my office, crying. Aish! I hate to see her crying, it literally breaks my heart.

"Y-you're afraid of cockroach?" Damn it! I really can't bear to see her cry. Namumula ang kanyang pisngi at ilong. She looks like a baby. And I'm tempted to touch her cheeks but I suppressed myself from doing it.

"O-opo, Sir. Gumapang pa nga sa binti ko e, kaya bigla akong napatakbo rito. Ayaw ko na talagang bumalik do'n. Baka mamatay ako 'pag inataki ako sa puso dahil may phobia ako sa ipis."

I gulped hard when another teardrop fell from her eyes. I am really tempted to hug her and tell her that everything's going to be fine as long as she's with me.

"How come? I told the maintenance to make sure--"

"Naku hindi po, meron po talaga! Ipapakita ko pa sa inyo kung saang banda," she said cutting me off. I sighed. Nagliwanag naman ang kanyang mukha nang tumayo ako. Anong magagawa ko? Lakas ng tama ko sa babaeng 'to, no matter how I tried not to fall for her.

Handa na akong itaya ang puso ko sa babaeng 'to.

I hate women but my love for her is stronger than my hatred. Harder than my broken heart, and deeper than the trauma I've had before.

"Charaaaaaan! Surprise!"

"Fck!" Muntik na akong mapatalon sa pagkagulat. I didn't realize na nasa pantry na pala kami.

"What the hell is this all about?" I asked sternly.

"Sir talaga. Ayaw n'yo ba sa surprise ko? Ako po nagluto lahat niyan"

"Y-you did?" Parang may humaplos sa dibdib ko. Damn! Hulog na hulog na ako sa babaeng 'to.

"Opo, kaya maupo na kayo at kakain tayo. Sagot ko ang lunch natin ngayon." She smiled that melted my heart even more. But I still wonder why she did this.

"Why?" I asked.

"Ay! Sir, hindi n'yo naaalala? Monthsary kaya natin ngayon."

What?! Nabilaukan ako ng sarili kong laway sa sagot niya.

"Ayos lang kayo, Sir?" She asked after giving me a glass of water.

"Y-yeah. But monthsaries are for couples only, Love." I shook my head but I can't help but to smile. I really wonder what comes in her mind.

"Kayo talaga, Sir. Wala namang batas sa Pilipinas na ang monthsary ay para sa magjowa lang, ah. Meron din kaya sa magkakaibigan. Pero sa atin naman, monthsary ng unang araw na naging boss kita at assistant ninyo ako." I nodded my head in approval. She has a point. Madumi lang talaga ang utak ko. Tss.

"Alright. Monthsary it is." I smiled again. Umupo ako sa kaharap na upuan. I feel so elated she did this for me.

"W-what's that?"

Fck! Parang gusto kong tumakbo palabas nang makita ko ang nakahain sa harapan ko. Onions!

"Adobong manok po at beef steak. Specialty ko 'to lahat, Sir. Naku tikman n'yo at baka makakalimutan n'yo ang pangalan ninyo sa sobrang sarap," she said happily. Parang gusto ko siyang gilitan sa leeg. Kung hindi ko lang 'to mahal.
