I can't believe them! How could they do this to me!? Their daughter, for fucks sake! "Ev, honey!" Mom calls out from behind me. We were having such a good time surfing why did they have to ruin it by telling me the real reason we're on vacation? "Honey, we're sorry!" Dad begs, jogging in order to catch up to me.

I stop walking. My fists clench into a ball of anger. Dad places his hand on my shoulder while Mom grabs my hand. "Honey, we didn't mean for you to know." Mom says, "We wanted you to have fun - "

"No," I cut in. "You didn't because you brought me here so I'd be away from Albert! I don't understand you or Alberts father! Both of you want us to not see each other! It's unfair!"

"You're right," Mom sighs. "We're sorry.. Just come back with us, lets enjoy surfing while we can. We head home soon, why mull about it when we can have fun?"

I shake my head. "I'm not in the mood. You guys brought me here for a completely other reason then I had thought. You two wanted me to get away from Albert. Just..just let me take a walk on my own. I'll find my way back to the hotel." With that, I walk away from my parents.

Why?

Why do Nicolas and Mom want to forbid us from seeing each other!? It's not like they're married, it's not like we're related! It's not like it affects them!

Alberts a good guy; he cares. Yeah, he may never care the same as he did for that girl - Jane - but he still cares for me.

He worries for me whenever I'm upset or in menstrual pain.

I love him - he loves me, right?
