She stood on the stairs baffled. Shocked, maybe? "What?"
"It's not mine," I repeat as I slowly approach her. "Sie called me and asked if I could go to her house for something. When I got there, I was greeted by a sobbing Kilian and a very ticked off Frankie. Once Kilian had stopped crying, she confessed that her baby belongs to another guy, not me."
Ev doesn't say anything, she just looks at me with furrowed eyebrows. "We can forgive and forget, Ev. We can start - "
"No," she shakes her head. "It may not be yours but you still slept with her. You still cheated on me while I was on a trip in Hawaii with my parents."
"I know, Ev, and I'm sorry!" I say, attempting to caress her face but fail when she steps away from my hand. "Can you forgive me? Please?"
She nods her head slowly, "I can forgive you." I smile and start to lean in for a hug but she stops me. "But I can't forget." She gives me a sad smile before walking up the rest of the stairs into her room.
"I will fight for you, Ev! I'll win your heart!" I call after her. "It's a promise!
