Aphmau's POV

As soon as Laurence said about him coming over I froze in my spot. I didn't know what to do.

How do I explain that my dads abusive and I don't want him to know in a casual conversation? Oh my Irene what am I gonna do?

"Um, you can't come over my house." I said quickly.

I'm literally shaking.

"Not to be nosy, but why?" Laurence asked.

Geez, what now?

I'm gonna die right here, right now.

"It's because... um, my dad and I are still getting used to things without my mom and having someone over isn't a good idea... yeah right... That's why." I lied.

Saved it

Yeah sure you did he probably thinks you're crazy and you're not gonna have a friend.

What the- when did I ask for a sub-conscience? You know what, whatever it's for mine and his sake I don't know what my father would do if he saw Laurence.

I don't know why but it's really hard to lie to him. I feel like he's been nothing but honest to me and now I'm lying to his face.

Irene, why does this have to be so hard?

"Ok, would it be ok if you came over my house?" Laurence suggested.

Thank Irene he doesn't think I'm crazy. I'm pretty sure my dads gonna yell and hit me a few times but it'll be worth it because I'll be with him longer. He's my friend and he's awesome.

We walked into Laurence's house and if I'm being honest, it's really nice. His house is like a dream house.

We walked in and he began to talk, "So, as I explained my dad will be home in a little bit, and my sister, Cadenza, will be home in a little bit to so we have the house to our selves."

Lucky, he didn't have to go home to a dad like mine. He had a family that cared for him. I'm glad.

"Cool." I smiled.

Laurence's POV

Aphmau looked amazed with my house. I don't really know why though it's just a house but, whatever.

"You wanna come up to my room Aph? We actually just moved here about a month ago so every room in this house is pretty new. In fact your the first guest here." I said proudly.

"Sure." Aphmau replied.

I brought her up to my room. My room was green, it was my favorite color after all. It's not the biggest, but it's way better than the orphanage. And I'm also not complaining.

"Your room looks great." Aphmau said in awe.

I could tell she looked amazed.

"Thanks." I replied.

It was the first day of school so we had no homework. Aph and I started talking until my bedroom door swung open, reveling my 9 year old sister Cadenza.
