Prologue; Two years later

I was walking around campus looking for a spot to eat. I was a freshman in college and i still didn't know my way around that well. I walked past a little souvenir shop and knew that i needed to ask for directions since i had past the shop two times before.

"You look lost" I heard someone say. I turned around and came face to face with a girl around my age. She had dark green eyes, freckles covered cheeks and short blonde hair.

"Just a bit" I laughed.

"What are you looking for" She asked as she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"A place to eat" I smirked as i adjusted my book bag on my shoulder. Her eyes lit up and she started clapping.

"I know the perfect place" She shouted, "Care if i join you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Considering i don't know how to get there, i don't really think i have a choice" I smirked in amusement.

"Follow me" She explained as she turned around and started heading towards a vacant part of campus. The closer we got, the less people there were. I started feeling like this was that scene in the movie, where the main character follows a random person right into a death sentence.

"Here we are" She explained as she stopped in front of a small shop called Lost and Found. It seemed really small but crowded so i assumed that it must have been a student favorite. We walked in and took a two person table near a window.

"What can i get for you today" A petite woman asked us as she held her pen to a pad of paper.

"I'll take a caramel frappe" The girl smiled at the waitress, before looking at me.

"Uhmm" I said as i glanced at the menu unsure of what i wanted.

"He'll take the same as me" The girl explained. I looked at the women as she scribbled down the order before walking away.

"How do you know i'm going to like that" I asked with a smirk.

"Trust me, you'll love it" She explained as she picked up the menu.

"So what's your name?" I asked.

"Kayleigh" She smiled as she looked around the small cafe.

"Well my name's Kyle" I smiled, "And i have no idea what to order" i admitted.

"Ask for the Cheesey Burger" She smirked.

"You mean cheese burger" I asked?

"Nope" She smiled like she was hiding something. It was kind of intriguing to me.

When i took a bite of the burger it was like i ate a piece of heaven. There was melted cheese cooked inside of the burger that oozed out with each bite. It was amazing and i couldn't get enough of it. Kayleigh was laughing at me and i looked at her in confusion.

"What" I asked?

"You got a little" She said pointing to her cheek, "Here i got it" She laughed before she leaned over and wiped some cheese of my face. The touch on my face caused my smile to fall as i looked at the table.

"I'm sorry" She said as she looked at her hands.

"No it's fine" I said as i looked back up at her.

"My emotions kind of take over when i like a guy" she blurted before she face palmed herself. I smirked at her as she glanced at me with red cheeks.

"The thing is-" I started as i looked at the grounded before looking back up at her, "When i was in highschool i met this girl named Bryn. Long story short, we ended up falling in love. But she passed away because of cancer, and i haven't been with another girl since" I admitted.

"Oh my gosh, i'm so sorry" She said as she put her hand on top of mine. The thing was, it didn't bother me.
