Assassin Mate

Chapter 11

Sam's POV

I walked into the kitchen, still following the scent.
I noticed Chris was making pancakes as I walked in but decided to ignore him, wanting to know what the scent was.
I turned into the dining room connected to the kitchen and came face to face with Jace.
I inhaled deeply and figured out that the amazing smell was him.
"Mate" he whispered.
My eyes widened. I can't have a mate.
"Shit" I swore. Jace got a confused look on his face.
"I can't have a mate.." I muttered, running to the front door and rushing outside.

Jace's POV

"Mate" I murmured.
I saw Sam's eyes widen.
"Shit" she swore, "I can't have a mate"
I looked at her confused then she ran off out of the front door.
I chased after her but she hopped on her motorcycle and sped away.

I quickly got my keys to my car and got in to chase after her but as soon as I got onto the road, she was no where in sight.
I started driving in the way I saw her go.
God, I hope she's safe.

Sam's POV

I sped off down the road, seeing Jace getting in what I assumed to be his car.
I sped my motorcycle up, tearing up the gravel road.
It looked like I lost him so after a while I just drove.
