Okay! It's all fine! We're going to drive to Malon's, and we're going to drop those cats off like Dark had insisted... And, after that, we'll be making our way back home before twelve... and, everything will be peachy!
I tried regaining my thoughts with a few words as I focused myself on the plain road.

I bit my lip, and glanced at my rearview mirror. We'll be at Malon's in an hour from now. It'll be fine! I took a deep breath, and made a left-hand turn.

Dark let out a long sigh. "When do you think we'll be there...?" he moaned.

I smirked and glanced at him for a second. He was sitting back in the passenger seat with the basket of kittens on his lap. "We just left," I responded quickly.

"Yeah...?" he said.

I know he's glaring at me with that smirk placed on him... I tried clearing my mind, and kept my eyes remained on the road. "About an hour, Dark!" I said. "You've been there before... You know how long it takes to get there..."

He scoffed, and looked back down at the kittens. "Yeah, yeah!" He began to stroke one of the kittens. "But, I haven't... really... been there in a while... so..."

I sighed as I leaned away from him. One hour... One hour with just Dark in the car! Just Dark and I... Just like how it was all day. Dark and I... One hour... Probably two hours...

...

...

...

About twenty-five minutes later...

"Are we there, yet?" Dark groaned for the hundredth time. He was leaning in more towards me this time with an irritated smirk.

My eyes twitched. "No... Dark..."

"What the hell!" Dark put his feet on the dashboard, revealing his filthy, black sneakers; then, he slouched back into the chair, looked towards the window, and tucked his hands into his pockets. "I could've sworn we were near her house!" he exclaimed.

I bit my lip, and tried not to land my stare onto him. "Malon doesn't live anywhere near here..."

"Oh, you sure!" He cocked his head towards me, sending his glaring, narrowed eyes at me. "You sure she doesn't live in one of those small, little townhouses we just passed by?!" He said with a small smirk.

My lip twitched as a small chuckle escaped me. "A townhouse?!" I said sarcastically. I glanced at him for a second and then looked away to pay my attention to the road. Malon doesn't live in a townhouse...! "Malon has a farm out on some hill... She doesn't live in the city!" I said.

"What?!" He said with flustered eyes as they drifted up at the ceiling of the car. Then, in seconds, he gazed down at the window. "Oh..." he mumbled. "Oh yeah!" he said slowly. "Yeah, yeah..." He began to lean on the window. "That's right...!"

I licked my lips. "Yeah—"

Dark flew his pointer finger into the air. "Oh yeah!" He gasped as all his excitement began to drift away. His arm fell towards the window, and then I found him leaning on the window again as he watched the cars go by. "She's that crazy farm lady! I almost forgot!" he finally said.

I rolled my eyes with a sigh.

"My bad!" He said as he leaned back into the chair with a wide smirk, and folded his arms behind his head.

...

"By the way... Dark?" I asked, glancing at the rearview mirror to look at him.

He nodded up to the same mirror. "Hm?" He said with a concerned smile.
