chapter 37 - goodbye

I woke up early.

I could tell I was down to days. Austin knew it too.

The crew and mama had already said their goodbyes to me.

I have tweeted to the fans many times telling them I will miss them and I hope they think of me.

Now I just have to make sure Austin knows it's okay to move on.

I'm not saying forget me but I want him to find someone who will give him what I couldn't give to him.

"Hey Austin?"

"Yes babe?"

"I want you to know that when I'm gone, it's okay to move on."

He didn't answer.

"Austin I'm serious."

"I don't want to think about this." he said getting up.

"We don't have much time." I tried to sit up but failed.

"Please. Just don't worry about me. I have the boys. And my mom." he said kneeling next to me.

"You're so stubborn. I'm gonna miss that." I stroked his face.

*Austin's POV*

She can't breathe.

"DOCTOR SOMEONE HELP" I shout down the hall.

They came rushing in.

He body twitched as the doctors tried to revive her.

I ran my hands through my hair.

"Dear lord. I know I only come to you when my life is in shambles but my wife needs help. Please. Save her." I prayed.

"Mr.Mahone? She's gone. I'm sorry."

I fell to my knees.

I felt so empty.

I called the boys to come get me.

We stayed in the parking lot because we were all crying to hard to move.

We went to my moms condo and told her and she held me in her arms and we both sobbed.

"I'm so sorry honey." She said crying.

"Me too."

"At least she was able to know how much you loved her." She said pointing to my ring on my finger.

"Yeah." I said sniffing

"You're right mom."

The boys and I walked down to the beach and sat and stared at the water.

I miss her so much.

"Man I'm sorry." Alex said resting his arm on my shoulder.

"She's in a better place." Zach said in a low voice.

"At least she's not in pain anymore." Rob said as a tear fell from his eyes.

I nodded slowly and whipped my face. A cool breeze blew as the sun set. I couldn't even realize how beautiful it was because the light in my life was gone forever.
